Hi everyone!
I know this is a little early, but is anyone applying to Denver College of Nursing for the October start?
I currently have a bachelors in midwifery (I am not an RN....yet), Vandy offers an accelerated pre-nursing program with a bridge. The first year is your nursing courses (RN only not BSN) with year 2/3 (depending on what graduate program you select) focusing on your specialty (I am seeking my MSN in Midwifery). What I like the most about Vandy is you can only be waitlisted once, after that is an accept/reject (the end). There are several other schools who also do a bridge, but bridges are crazy expensive.

Also how does the bridge program work? I've been looking into the Associates, but wanted to go for Bachelor's since I already have a Bachelor's in sociology!
I think because you already have a bachelor's degree, you would likely be a top candidate for an associate program.
After taking and finishing an associate nursing program, there's another program schools offer called an RN bridge program, it's usually fully online, takes less than a year (I think) and "bridges" your associate degree in nursing to a bachelors degree. They are usually less costly when taken at a public school or a community college. Someone from the 2020 cohort mentioned this was the route they were taking instead, even though they got an acceptance letter.

I'm sorry to hear! ?
When I got rejected for UCD's nursing program, I sent an email asking for feedback on my application and interview. I got answers back. So if calling doesn't work, email is also a good option. Apply again!
I wish good things for everyone who has been through the ringer with applying to schools. Seriously, just applying to nursing school is exhausting!

Maddy- I literally came on here to see if you got in because I remembered you from the July application cycle.
Keep on trying girl! You literally have strangers rooting you on! You can do this. Call them like someone suggested and manifest it! I would be down to help in any way as well. You got this!
@Momof3 Oh my gosh, you're literally going to make me cry, you don't know how much it means that you remembered me!
I called yesterday and left a voicemail. I emailed & they really didn't give any information ? They said they can't give personalized feedback at all... which makes it even harder since I have no idea how to fix my application! I'm looking into doing the Associates and bridging, but ugh this is the hardest process.
