Dental work

Has anyone in tpapn ever gotten dental work done? And if so was there any issues? I need fillings and oral surgery soon and i have been reading lidocaine can cause falsr positives and i am concerned about them using ethanol products on me. I have asked my case manger when i might except to be done with tpapn to try to avoid this issue but she didn't answer (as usual) and im not sure how much longer i can hold off before i get serious dental issues.

This is only anecdotal but when I was in the program we had several people have questionable tests following dental work. It was suggested that Lidocaine with epi was the culprit and when people started getting the Lido w/o epi the tests came out clean. Just be careful that your doctor doesn't give you any opioid pain control as that will cause you to have a positive test.

Hppy

I had orthopedic surgery, two eye surgeries, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and a week in ICU this past year and received various meds and sent in MARs and no problems. Just do the paperwork.

I asked my case manager this question back when I was being monitored. She told me that it was a myth that getting dental work done with a local anesthetic would cause a false positive for cocaine. I got the work done with no problems.
