Denied employment due to non-accredited/private school nursing degree!

Is there anyone out there who has been denied employment because of the school you graduated from? What are your experiences and how did you overcome it?

Yes but when the shoe is on the other foot, what goes around comes around.

there has never been a "nursing" shortage, only a shortage of nurses willing to work in bad/less than good conditions. The manufactured shortage allowed the expansion of nursing educational institutions, thereby driving down the wage/benefit levels. ie, supply and demand.

OK - point of clarification. I believe that there are only 2 "accredited" (ACEN) LVN programs in Tx - but all of the other 90 or so programs are approved by TxBON... so their grads are OK to take NCLEX. If OP is enrolled in the LVN program, it's all good.
