Hi,

I just found this thread so I hope that there are still some reading it. :)

I was accepted in December and will begin clinicals in August 2006. It IS a difficult program to get into.

But I feel really fortunate that I did.

Great job and good luck!!!!! You will do great!:nurse:

has anyone considered joining the nursing club?

Hi !

I hope people are still on this thread about admissions to the Delaware County Community College Nursing Program. I am currently applying, and still waiting for my results from my 2nd NET Test. It's been over 2 weeks!

Anyways, can someone who has been accepted in the program let me know what they scored on their NET tests????I just want an idea of what the scores are. Can someone help me?? I Am dieing to know! I have to wait soo long to find out about admission, it's not until Fall 2007. HELP!! Thank you!!!!!!!! Any info about your admission will help!!

I am starting at Brandywine. I heard that DCCC only takes the top NET test scores, so you would have to score very high on the test. I only got a total of a 70 on it so I decided to go to Brandywine. I know it does not have the greatest rep but I will still be a RN in the end.

Good Luck

I got a 72 on the english and a 80 on the math, but that still didn't get me in. I was number 25 on the waiting list. I don't know if you have heard, but the hospitals in the area are sponsoring more seats. Depending on what county you live in. I live in Crozer's area so i got a letter from them saying that they will sponsor extra seats (they added like 40 or more seats to the program) the only catch is that you have to sign a contract with them that you will work for them for 2 full years or pay them $6000. I decided to go with crozer because i will have a job as soon as i graduate. So if you get waitlisted maybe that is something you would like to consider.

Hi there,

I don't remember exactly what my reading and math scores were indiviually but the two averages that I received were an 85 the first time I took the NET and my second score was 87.

I was looking at Brandywine as well but the cost of it threw me off. Taking classes at Immaculata U. can be really expensive.

Good Luck and Best wishes!

You can take the pre reqs at DCCC then go to Brandywine. I know many people who have taken pre reqs at other schools. I have taken my pres at Immacualta but my work is paying for school.

Thank you all for your help with this!

For Adadien -

Did you not get into Delco, even with those scores in the 80's?

And for Italia -

When did you find out about those hospitals sponsering other seats? DId they contact you after you found out you were waitlisted, or did you have to contact Crozer somehow? Also, did you end up getting to go to Delco after you accepted the position at Crozer?

Thankyou all for your help, anyone else who can share their experiences with their NET scores and admission into Delco's program would be GREATLY appreciated!

I got my NET scores back and I am very happy w/ my scores, I hope they get me in...I got 100% on math and 84% on reading, Im pretty psyched. Lets hope this gets me in!

Those are really excellent scores!!!! :)

I am fairly certain that you could get into either DCCC or Brandywine with those scores. Do you have a preference for either school or were you thinking of going somewhere else?

I did get into the DCCC/CCH (it's for Chester County residents) program and will begin clinicals August 2006. I am really excited!

I did not do as well as you and I got in.:lol2: I am horrible at math, even when I know the answer, I second guess myself thinking it must be wrong since I figured it out so eaisly! COngrats on your grades. I thought we could have used a few more minutes on teh English portion, I was once an English major and just got the section done when time was called.
