deciding on a test date

Well, I wanted to take mine and get it over with, so I scheduled ASAP, in a city that was 2 hours away. However, it was a Friday, and I didn't get my Pearson results until Monday and my license number until Tuesday. The waiting for the results was awful (considering others were getting their's the next day). So, I don't how getting the results in NY works, but if it will take longer to wait over Christmas, then I would wait.

i need some advice on when to schedule my nclex. i graduated in early october and finally received my att in new york state, so i can now schedule a date. my choices at this time are 12/23 (two days before christmas one the busiest times of the year) or 1/07/10 at which point the holidays will be finished. i am need of some opinions as i want to get the exam done but is two days before christmas really the best time? need some feedback!!! help!!!

i just graduated nov 2nd took my test on nov 14, results on 18th, passed. i was told by our school, that it is best to take the test asap!!!! remember that the boards close for the holidays, just keep on checking the pearsonvue site for any cx, i did!!! go for it!!!! good luck

Choose a date that works for you. If the holidays are a stressful time for you, take the exam January 7th.

I graduated May 31, and I had until the middle of August to take my test. I wanted a day that I wasn't working, and an afternoon start time. I ended up taking it July 28th, at a suburban office park far from home. I passed.

I personally feels that you should avoid near christmas.I have written my exam on oct 24 it was a saturday ,i was tensed and eagerly waiting for result.next day was a saturday.so to avoid unnecessary tension regarding result better to take during working days near.All the best for your exam
