Try for Residency in big hospitals.My hospital has residency every 6 months .

I am sorry that you are going through this.Try hard to achieve your goal.I am sure he will come back once you are in a great position.Work hard and reach your goal.All the best.

I would not quit with one week work.I was on same shoes 9 years ago .Cried every single day after work and no sleep and I lost so much weight down to 99 pounds.I looked anorexic,it was so bad.My husband was so supportive and encouraged me to hang in there which I am glad now .I have been here for 9yrs and got a good raise in few yrs and happy .Once you prove who you are and your skills are things changes.So hang in there.

We do have peer to peer review system at my work place .But we have the option to choose one peer and our supervisor chooses the other person.Most of the time supervisor knows who is in good or bad terms.So it's been working out well .

We have all kind of shifts .12 hr,8 hr,10 hr .My facility so flexible since it's a trauma center.I work weekend nights Fri,sat ,sun 7p to 7a.I love my shift.Not busy and also free from day dramas and chaos .lol.Good luck to you

I don't think it is going to be a problem to get a job.That is your hair and that's the way God created you .How can someone not to hire you based on your your hair??Just keep tidy and be proud about your hair.Good luck!

I work in the Operating room and I have 3 kids.I work weekends now since I have my husband to watch them during week.But when my husband travelled I worked week days and send them to day care .I would think it's ideal to work week days when you have more opportunities like day care ,nannies etc.I would not rely on one person,it's hard I have been through.I would put them in day care and also have a nanny PRN just in case kids gets sick.I worked three 12 hrs shift in the OR so I had 4 days with my kids .

In my facility every medication has to be charted.There is an option to enter used as irrigation/flush/iv whatever.

Gosh I go through this always.We are a trauma center and residents and doctors want me to answer pagers and phones.Lately pages are on the phone so they want me to check all the texts including their wife's 😍😍 messages.I feel weird always.They won't leave the pagers before they scrub in and I have to search around their pants and try so hard to pull it out.God...I try to ignore most of the time and few minutes later surgeon is like what was that page🙄

I know its too late to reply.I got a job in a hospital which has 23 operating room ,2 CVOR rooms .its been 3 years now .They offered me good pay and happy now.Thank you all for your reply. @ghillbert,I have a green card.

I did releived her @ 11 am when she was scrubbed in otherwise she will be mad .when she came back from lunch she wants me to get the next room ready ,then I had lunch at 1 pm.I don't like to hurt others,one day we 3 nurses was there in one room and I scrubbed all day ,she did not offered a break in the morning and the other nurse offered a break and she said I did not know that scrub nurses will get a break.I feel like to quit the job

Thanks for the reply.I don't know what is wrong with her.She was fine with me,its started all of sudden.I will talk to the doctor and will go for maternity leave early.Huge belly and varicose veins bothering me too much

Hi Everyone, I am working in CVOR for last 3years and we are only 5 members in the team.Except me other 4 members are over 50 yrs old.One of my co-worker is so angry with me when I got pregnant second time[33 weeks now].we all scrub and circulate,she always makes me to scrub and will not offer any breaks ,she always goes for lunch first.How to handle this ?any thoughts?
