So, I finally feel I should not give up......I will be a retaker for 2nd time in December. I felt so low when I failed the test in July'07. I was thinking to take in october but just couldnt get motivated to study. In the meantime, I joined RN-BSN program. So, currently I am in school taking 15 credits of classes. I need to have my RN license before winter so I can do practical in communnity health, a required class for BSN.

After visiting this site almost everyday, reading success stories and encouragement given by one of my wonderful instructor from my ASN program, I am motivated to do it.

So, newcomers as well as retakers, Lets get together, support each other and lets pass the RN test. WE CAN DO IT.

For now, I have started practicing Q&A at least 2 hrs/day from Saunders CD. I will keep you updating and hope you all will share the tips as well.

I am back from testing. Goodness, I was there for 5 and a 1/2 hours. I got all 265 questions. Just dont know what to think about. It felt like I went for pharm test not nclex because every other question was about unheard med question. I think pharm is my weak area.....the meds I got were totally knew to me. I got about 7-8 drug ques that I knew for sure, rest is all my educated guesses by elimination. Worst part of all last question was about a unheard chemo cocktail, I am sure I got that wrong. After, 200 my brain started wilting....too many drug questions esp. I got tons of chemo drug and chemo cocktail. My priority questions also focused on cancer patients. I definitely dont feel good about it. Just dont know what to think??? I thought I was doing good until about 160-170 because I was getting variety of questions then i started getting weird drugs that I never heard of and then priority questions on chemo and cancer plus drug to drug/food/herbs interactions on chemo cocktail. I seriously felt like I was sitting to get pharmacy license not nursing.

Uhhh...ghhh...this feeling is worst. Now the waiting begins.

the test plan for nclex pharm is 13-19% but today I felt the test was all about pharm........almost 50% or even more.. ....last 100 ques were almost about chemo...cancer....chemo's interaction with other drugs and herbs...and chemo cocktail for metastatic cancer....rxn with radiation therapy etc.

How can that be??? That means i was really weak in pharm right???? The test was so based on oncology and i know i started getting really tired towards the end and my concentration gone.

If you are weak in an area can they ask more than 13-19% as in my case pharm??????

This is my 2nd time and I dont want to sit for third one.

Is there any hope, I dont think so???? I wish I had prepared for chemo drugs more!!! All I can do is sit and pray now.

I can understand how you might be feeling. But let's keep some hope. B'coz you never know. sometime the miracle things can happen. "God please let wizard100 and WAstateRN pass their NCLEX exam by showing your miracle and power to them and give them their result of hard working." Just keep praying....
