DCCC to West Chester

Published

Hi everyone-

I've been lurking around for a while and finally decided to sign up and say hi! I applied to DCCC for the fall of 2009. Right now I'm trying to keep myself from worrying too much about getting in and just concentrate on my non-nursing courses. :uhoh3:

If I do get in, I'm thinking of continuing straight through to the BSN program at West Chester. Has anyone done the articulation agreement between DCCC and West Chester? Is the process pretty seamless or is there anything I should be on the lookout for?

I have a bunch of prior credits and it shouldn't take too long for me to finish once the ADN is done but I also want to make sure I dot all my I's and cross all my T's ahead of time... Just in case. That is, of course, if I even get into DCCC! (can you tell I'm a little neurotic??)

Thanks! It looked like a good deal but I'm glad to hear from someone who has actually done it.

Hey Guys,

I am currently in the program. I do know that the main campus acceptance letters get sent out first and CCH second. I am in CCH and I got my letter last year around mid-November. As for "Math for Nurses" I tested out of it. If you do not test out of it, you must take is prior to NUR 110 or while in 110. You have the opportunity to test out in April/May during an orientation session. There are several sections every semester including the summer. If you have any other questions, let me know....

Thanks! What did you do to prepare to test out of Math for Nurses? I was planning on just buying the book and studying that but I'm waiting to see if I get in first. Did you need to do much more than that? Did you have prior knowledge that helped you? Thanks again! Any info is always appreciated.

Wait, so you got your letter in mid-november, and the main campus letters got sent out b4 then? So that means that the acceptance letters might have already got sent out for main campus? O man, that makes me so scared, because i havent gotten one. I do have a question though, did they call you and tell you that you made it, or did you find out first by your acceptance letter??

~Thanks! (Gosh, im so nervous now)

There are quite a few people in my anatomy class that applied for Fall of 2009 and haven't heard anything either. I wouldn't be nervous about it yet. If someone else hears, I'll be sure to let you all know as well.

Anyone hear anything yet??!!:p
