Hi everyone-
I've been lurking around for a while and finally decided to sign up and say hi! I applied to DCCC for the fall of 2009. Right now I'm trying to keep myself from worrying too much about getting in and just concentrate on my non-nursing courses.
If I do get in, I'm thinking of continuing straight through to the BSN program at West Chester. Has anyone done the articulation agreement between DCCC and West Chester? Is the process pretty seamless or is there anything I should be on the lookout for?
I have a bunch of prior credits and it shouldn't take too long for me to finish once the ADN is done but I also want to make sure I dot all my I's and cross all my T's ahead of time... Just in case. That is, of course, if I even get into DCCC! (can you tell I'm a little neurotic??)
o sorry! i just thought that it would be a good idea! And i called to make sure it was maditory, and the lady said that it was. There is a chance that you could waiver it by taking some sort of a placement test for it, but she said that the passing rate to waiver it is 5%. So im not gunna take that chance!
HEY!! Can either one of you tell me if and when you get an acceptance letter or phone call? I know its still November (and we may not know till Jan.) but im just getting worried and anxious!!!! So please please let me know!! UGG!:uhoh21:
HI! I am also waiting to hear from DCCC and it is driving me nuts. It has gotten to the point that I stalk the mailman! I really hope we hear soon!
Well, of my pre-reqs, i still have to take anatomy and physiology, Abnormal psych and lifespan. So, since they do not offer anatomy next semester, i will probably take abnormal psych and math for nurses, (if that class is mandatory). Then take anatomy and lifespan during summer 1, and physiology during summer 2. (which is gunna suck because those are hard classes and they're going to be crammed into summer sessions) But hopefully i can get them all done before the program, IF im in!!~What about you?? What pre-reqs do you still have, and are you taking any classes next semester? O and what was your reading score on the NET? At least you passed!!!!! Good job!
I am taking Lifespan for sure via the internet and I am actually waiting to see if I've been accepted before I take anything else on. I only have to take the 2 bio classes and 2 psych classes and the Math for Nurses and that's it. If I haven't been accepted than I have an extra year to take the classes I need. Where are you taking Lifespan?

I asked the receptionist on 10/31 when I dropped something off at the office and she said not unti January... but then whispered to me that it could be as early as December. I'm trying not to think about it too much. I'm driving myself crazy. Please let me know your results ok?

Im taking lifespan at the main campus next semester. And YES YES if either of you hear ANYTHING else, please tell!!!!!!! (Its driving me crazy too!)
My son gets home from school around 3 every day and calls me to let me know he's home safe. Every day for weeks now I make him go out and get the mail. He's gotten wise now and just calls me and says, "No, nothing from DCCC yet". There's a girl in my anatomy class that's currently in the program and she says she didn't get her letter until the first week in Feb. Argh!!
The articulation agreement between DCCC and WCU is legitimate. I would recommend the BSN at WCU, especially since you already have pre-existing credits. You probably won't have too many classes to take. WCU requires you to take 30 credits for the BSN at WCU. They don't care where you take your other required credits. But, you must take 30 with them. Hope this helps! :nuke:
