Hey everyone! This is my first post and I hope to get some advice on applying to Daytona states nursing program in May for fall semester 2016. I currently have a 3.42 gpa and a 75% teas test score but I'm nervous that it won't be enough ugh what were some of your gpas and scores? I'm finishing my last pre reqs right now so I hope it doesn't drop much. Any advice on what easy online classes to take next semester to boost my gpa?
I hope you get accepted. I didn't have to wait for an acceptance letter at Daytona College. The nursing admissions process was great. No lines, no wait, and they have an amazing team to help you along the way. You need to meet with the Director of Nursing at Daytona College. You will be so happy. Best of luck.
Hi Ladies,I am applying in September with hopes of being accepted in January. I have yet to take the TEAS test and I am super nervous. Any tips? Also, does anyone know the actual nursing schedule? Three days a week?? Hours?
I hope you all the best of luck with getting accepted!
I'm applying for the transitional LPN to RN so it'll be a little different, but I know for me they said:
"If you are accepted into our program, your first semester will be as listed below.Lecture is online, Tuesday is Lab; either 1:00-4:00 pm. or 4:30-7:30 pm. and Wednesday is Clinical;1:00-10:30 pm.
After your first semester, you will be intergraded with the RN students and will be as listed below.
Classes are considered Full-time and is in lecture form which consists of four days a week, including lecture, lab and clinical. This program will be held on 3 of the 5 campuses each semester and the will rotate. (Daytona, Deltona, New Smyrna OR Daytona, Deland, Flagler/Palm Coast).
DAYS: anytime between 7:00 am. till 5:00 pm.
EVENINGS: anytime between 2:00 pm. till 11:00 pm."
I'm pretty sure if you just e-mail someone in the nursing department they'll give you all the scheduling information you need. As for TEAS, I would study. I bought a book and did questions and found questions online. There's a science section and I did well on anatomy, but they put chemistry and stuff and that wasn't fresh in my mind. Practice math and grammar.

I just got accepted in the Nursing Degree Program at Daytona College in Ormond Beach. I had to take a Wonderlic entrance exam, then the TEAS exam, and then interviewed with the Nursing Committee. The DON at Daytona College was a lead nursing instructor at Daytona State. I am so excited....
