Davis Q & A New Format for 2010

Just curious if anyone else is using this and how they're doing??

I'm reviewing with Saunders Comprehensive and then Davis lets me 'itemize' a little better than the Saunders CD to take practice exam questions. I'm doing terrible, so I'm wondering if Davis is a little harder than the others.

This is what I am wondering too, as well as a few of my fellow classmates. I am using Saunders content review and Q & A, NCLEX 4000 cd and Mosby NCLEX review cards and I'll tell you Davis' Q & A has me worried most of the time.

I am using Davis's constantly, did not want to pay 500$ for Kaplan so I bought the Davis book. I do 25-100 questions a day from the cd (work full time and pregant so a little hard to concentrate on studying). I find that the questions are very hard so I do horrible as well! But honestly, I would rather harder questions to study from than easier ones because I believe they prepare me better. Don't feel bad, I am in the same boat as you....Davis is kicking my butt!

I've been using Davis Q&A. Questions seem to be a lot harder than Saunder's. I'm consistently getting around 65% on the quizzes I take, with some drops to high 50's now consistent scores up in the 70's.

I'm scheduled for my NCLEX tomorrow. We'll see how that goes.

Now what I am wondering is if this newer book reflects the new test in the complexity and subtle wording? Anyone care to comment on that?

Would be good to start getting some input from those who have tested. But kind of difficult to see how the publishers could have obtained enough specific info to word their questions in accordance with the new changes.

I've been using the new Davis book too and getting 50's-60's. I test Thursday so I'll let you guys know.

i was looking at this book at barnes and noble and i am really tempted to get it .... i definitely plan on doing so and i have read from many reviews on amazon and half that the questions are pretty tough

Hey guys!! Just wanted to update you! I shut off at 75 questions and just saw my name on the BON!!!!!!!!! Davis works!!!!!! That and LaCharity and you guys will be good :-) Good luck to you all, I know you can do it!
