Hello All,
I am an LPN applying to darton college for fall 2011. I live in atlanta and I am so tired of the run around that the LPN's receive from the metro area schools here. I dont care which program track I get in I just want to start RN school and stop wasting time sitting around. If anyone lives in atlanta w can car pool.I have taken the HESI I receive good scores, so now is the waiting game for acceptance or denial on April 11.
@ prettymica, I can't help be wonder, when you withdrew from those science classes, did you get a grade of W? I thought that they wouldn't count classes over ten years. I was told that I have to take my A&PII over because it was past the 5 year mark as well, I was shock because I already have a Associate of Science degree. I am planning on taking it this fall online because I live in Rincon, Ga. I don't want to commute back and forth to Albany yet. Right now my GPA is a 3.3 but I did have a couple of W's in my sciences because of some situations I was dealing with. I thought that it would be better for me to withdraw than to fail. Anyway, I am looking forward to attending Darton this coming Fall but I was thinking about doing the Swainsboro track in Summer 2012. Good luck Prettymica and always remember that God delay is not a denial! You will get in a succeed and be a GREAT NURSE!!!

They look for anything to discredit you from getting in.. And if you take a class more than once that counts against you also. Yes I spoke with someone a whole ago and she wants me to retake a & p mine had hit the 5 yr mark. So I am taking it again and I plan to get an A so I can finally get in the RN program. So yes a few withdrawals in science classes hurt when calculating scores
