Your Hesi score and Gpa is higher than mines when I got accepted. Not to mention they accept 100 students three times a year. Unlike atlanta getting into this program is not really the difficult part, it's actually making it through the program where some students have trouble. Try to knock out as many prerequisites as you can before entering the program. I entered the program still having to complete English 1102 and Micro it was very challenging but doable.Good luck to you
Good luck to you
Thanks for the best wishes! I really appreciate those! I'm actually done with all of my pre-reqs with the exception of medical terminology, but I'll be done with that this semester. I've done both of those I did well in probably because I had awesome professors. I'm excited. I think that at this point in my life I'm ready to do it and be an RN. I wish you the best of luck! How much more do you have to go before graduation?
Be happy with ur score girl! U did great lol. Was it a lot of converting on the test?
I'm starting to feel better about it. I found out that most people bomb the A&P part of the test and what I got really wasn't that bad. I'm feeling much better about it, but I think that I place waaaaayyyyy too much pressure on myself. Yeah there were conversions, but the easy stuff...How many grams are in a kilogram. Convert pounds in weight to kilograms. How many milliliters are in a liter. Convert weight in pounds to grams. How many oz are in a cup. Pretty much that was it. There were 55 questions and about 12 were conversions. I didn't have a single roman numeral question though.

Thanks! I graduate in December so not too much longer to go. You sound like you have the right attitude going into it though. That's the thing about nursing school it's tough so you have to be serious and ready to work hard. It's the difference between who makes it and who doesn't.....
I'm so happy for you! I can't believe that in a few semesters I may have the opportunity to say the same thing...I'm ready a few years ago I really lacked the dicipline to get throught it, but I'm ready now. I have so much to gain. I'll let you know if I get in...Does it usually take a long time to get your acceptance letter from Darton?
I think once they close out the Hesi testing then they will start to send out the acceptance letters for spring. It didn't take long for me to get it at all. I was in the same boat as you when if came to goofing off in school. Everything happens for a reason though. I'm convinced now that if I would have tried nursing back when I was 18 I would have probably flunked out. I was just not there mentally to pull this off.

Hey...I agree about being young and not ready! I know I Wasn't ready! Lol after dis term, I was able to pull my gpa up to a 3.0. Yayy! I have 3 more classes to take including the regents test..do you think I should gone ahead and get my CPR before getting into the program. Another thing can pharmocology only be taken while in the program?
I think that's when you're supposed to take it. I didn't think we could take it before then.

Hi youcandoit!!!
I was just reading your message about how you got in with a 2.8 GPA! Did you hear anyone having a gpa lower than the 2.8 and still getting in???
I am a senior in Darton college nursing program. My Hesi score was 81.92%, I transferred in with probably like a 2.8 gpa.
No can't really say that I have. I think for the most part people who get in are just happy to be in. You will probably get more of a response about what kind of GPA's people got in with on here due to it being more discrete sp?
I totally understand that! If they would accept me with the gpa I have after this semester, I would be soooo happy:) I had a very rough freshman year due to personal issues and I have been pulling up my gpa dramatically! I just hope they see the good grades I have in all of the required courses and not the ones that brought down my gpa!

Just jumping in here, but I heard (from staff in the department) that for the online program the lowest that they'd let in was a 2.8. I'm not sure what program you're applying for, but at most schools during each round of admissions, tend to let a few people in with the minimum gpa, because if they didn't then they wouldn't be able to say that it's the minimum gpa for acceptance. As long as your entrance score is pretty good, then you should be fine. I'll keep my fingers crossed and a prayer in the sky for you. I wish you the best and I hope this helps!:)
