so, im thinking about buying some of the dansko closed back clogs. i was just wondering what size to order. i normally wear a 7, but i have read that these shoes fit a little small, so i was thinking i should order a size up, but i dont want them to feel too loose either. so does anyone who wears these shoes have any advice? do you order a size up, or not?
thanks :)

I am a new nurse and have been wearing the clogs that you speak of. I also wear a 7 (sometimes 6 1/2, sometimes 7 1/2) and I bought the size 37. They seem to fit perfectly. I can't wear very thick socks, but average weight socks work fine. I love the shoes for many reasons; easy to clean, look nice, good arch support, and they don't bind my feet! However the insole is not very padded, so by the end of a twelve hour shift, my heal starts to ache a bit. Other than that, I like them. I have wondered if the 'sport' model, the Dansko clog with the rubber sole and more decorative stitching, might be more padded, but I've never tried them. Anyway....
Size-wise... the 37 fits me perfectly~!

I wear a 7.5-8 and wear a Euro size 38. I'd suggest 37 for you. BTW, they should not be snug. You should have room behind your heel.

I LOVE my Dansko sports! I found a pair on clearance and picked them up
to try out and they are so comfy! The soles are very bouncy. Love them so much I just picked up a pair in another color ?
I still wear my Dansk professionals too, I've always found them to be comfortable, I think they are a little more supportive than the sports but not as refreshing after 12 hours.
For sizing, i wear a size 6US, and a size 36 in the danskos. The sports are a little looser in the heel than the professionals.

If you're looking for Dansko Professionals: I just bought a pair on clogscentral.com for only $85 with free shipping and a free gift (website says $95, but use the $10 promotional code of dansko10 to get the extra $$ off). They're regularly $110. If you're looking for other kinds of Dansko, still give it a look because it looks like you can apply the promotional code and get free shipping on all other kinds. Happy hunting!

I just got mine on ebay, new professionals (38) for 45.00 plus 9.00 priority shipping! Good luck!
Thanks everyone. I think I will try the 37s. ?

I wear 7.5 US size and have one pair of Danskos in 38 and 2 in 37. One of the size 37s actually feels a bit looser than the 38(due to the style over the instep, I think). If in doubt, or if your feet are wide, I'd suggest going with the larger size.

Best thing is to go into a store and try on a few pairs. You can always order them off the Internet later if you prefer.
I would like to try them on, but I don't know of any stores in my area that sell them. But if they don't fit, it probably wont be a problem to just send them back for another size.
