Anybody apply to Cypress College or is planning to? I was dumb enough to go the first day, and even though I was a half hour early, I ended up waiting a good 4+ hours for an application. Probably not the best set up I've seen, but whatever, this is the school I want to get in! So, here's the thread for Cypress, and wishing nothing but the very best to all us 2011 hopefuls!
So I was going through all my info and getting some papers together for class next week and came across a few questions I was wondering if you guys know the answers to:
Do we need to bring all of our books to school everyday? Ive talked to lots of people about this and have gotten so many different answers
For labs do we need to wear anything in particular to class like closed toed shoes or anything?
Do they want us to turn in our medical forms, CPR cert, malpractice insurance, background check and all that stuff before the first day of class or do we just bring it on wednesday?
Thanks!!
I just bought the required ones. I figured if I feel like I need more I will get the optional ones later. But for now the required ones will give me enough reading to do
I just got my uniform yesterday.... so awful! Does anyone else's pants seem to get a little tighter at the feet? It looked so bad when I put shoes on!!
I just saw on the NSO website they have professional Liability Insurance for 21.50. Has anyone used that site?
What is the brand of the uniforms you guys got? I went today to a life uniform in riverside and the lady had no idea which ones are for students? Is it just the white pants from the life uniform brand? I have been working in the hospital for many years and the dickies boot cut pants are way more flattering. Does anyone know if these are alright? I'm just curious what everyone else bought.
Thanks guys
Heya Mrs. Knox. I heard from one of the second year students that wears the Dickies pants that you're talking about, and I don't think he's had an issue. I don't remember his name though. But I feel ya, the nursing uniform pants are hideous, and it looks really silly when you put on shoes indeed. I guess to ask your specific clinical instructor about them...and if yes, then I'm off to buy my pair too!

NCamp, you may get a call. I have to defer to the Fall for some medical reasons. Lydia Jewell said that they aren't taking any new applications for the fall and will just be going by the Ranking list. So pretty much everyone on the list that's still waiting now will basically be the next Fall class. Good luck to all of you this sem!
