Cypress college RN program

Yep Gizelle22 I applied every september. Oh Rio hondo isn't a lotto system and i think they are point system. and so as Golden West. Do you live around orange county?? soo you are an RN now? Gizelle22? where do you work now??

Just in case I get in the RN program at Cypress, what is your advice for me?? Is it hard?? how's the lecture theory test , what about clinicals?? are there dosage calculations before each course. What is the passing for dosage calculation? and how many questions?

I am waiting to take my NCLEX the BRN is behinds they got a new system really Rio Honda is points cause I heard of people who got c's in their prerequisite getting in there. Cypress was amazing I love that I graduated from there I feel that they really prepared us well.

I didn't see the 2nd paragraph sorry yes it's challenging they teach you how to critically think as a nurse yes there are dosage calculations and you have to get 75% but they also have critical ?'s if you miss those you have to retake it you get 3 chances clinicals are awesome it's where you really feel like a nurse you have your a ha moments and your teachers see it and its so cool there is no way I would have rather of gone trough a different program cypress is hard but do you really want a nurse at your bedside that holds your life in their hands that went through an easy program I don't

Does anyone know when they send out letter for cypress? I tried calling the school and I cant reach anyone

I believe they send out letters in May. First week or 2nd week of may. They send out email letters. Did u renew your application every year??. When did you apply for cypress?? I applied sept. 2011..but renewing it every year. I hope we get in.soon.

i recieved my denial for fall. I am confused do they just do fall and spring? I thought i sent in a message and they said it was too early for fall and they were working on summer

I received my denial. Too. So I am not accepted for fall 2014 either. But u know we should be studying for the TEAS test.

studygrl99 they don't have a summer session for nursing only for the LVN bridge students. You have to renew your application in Sept again and every year. The denial letter should also have stated if you were on the rank or chronological list and that gives you a better idea of how long it will be. Chronological is a longer wait but you never know so keep applying its an amazing program. krisy1217 for the teas really important to have a handle on basic college level math and reading comprehension there is a great study guide you can get online. I have already taken the teas exam so I am all set. I spoke to someone at cypress and they said i am on the chronological list and it wil be 2-3 years before I get in which is a little discouraging.

Studleygrl99 yeah it can take awhile on that list I hear I'm sure you've tried to get more points if possible. If it does take you that long then i think you will have to retake the teas I don't think it last that long but I'm not positive on that.

Hey studleygirl. When did u turn in your application initially?? I turn mines in Sept 2011.and I been renewing it every year...so I been waiting for in going almost 3 yrs. I called my counselor she said. I should be in next year sometime because they r working on the 2011 applications now.
