Hi ~
Did anyone out there apply to Curry BSN Accelerated program for January of 2010? I believe they notify those who are accepted to the program in April. Does anyone know if they send a letter or call? Just wondering.... and anxiously waiting to hear!!!!
Thanks!
Ooops sorry Mr. Moderator!! I thought that it might slip by, because I only used her 'first' name....I'll be more cognitive of that in the future!!
Thursmo!
to send a PM, go to the 'my account' pull down menu and click on private messages. It's pretty straight forward from there on in....good luck.

Hey Topz19 & dtrmd2sccd ~
You guys must be SO PSYCHED....enjoy your summer break!!! I talked to Toast40 today, he's starting with me in January. We would love to get a group of people together to meet in September. (I think there is 32 of us total.) It would be great if either of you could find the time to come & provide your insight....seems like the program moves pretty fast, which is a GOOD thing...enjoy your time off, you both definately earned it!!!

Topz19, they had 177 applications for a class of 32. This is for the class entering January 2010. I need to find the message, but I recall reading that applications were down this cycle, possibly due to the recently instituted Boston-high $200 application fee.
Hey guys... Im just want to ask if how many students they did accepted this year? 32 right?
I had a excellent feel for the Curry class.
This was just a snap observation--I was only there for an hour as people were drifting in and out. I attended the information sessions for all three schools where I was accepted. The average age (for better or worse) was significantly higher for the Curry ACCEL program. Ballpark number? Late 30's. This is possibly attributable to career changers who want a quick in-'n-out program (the other programs were ASN and direct-entry MSN programs, 2 and 3+ years respectively). I didn't count the number of males, but it was certainly higher than one of the other three schools, where I was the only male in a roomful of 80.
PM me if you have any other questions!
Did you make it to the Financial Aid night? I'm very curious about the class, was it a diverse group? Did you happen to notice?
Hey Tozz,
Thanks for the low-down on the class demographics...sounds great to me~~ I'm really looking forward to meeting everyone as soon as summer is over. I applied to UMASS too, but didn't get in. In retrospect I'm really glad; I think Curry is going to be the perfect fit for me!! I guess things happen for a reason...right? Feel free to PM me if you want my email address to talk more...
