What's so stressful about working 3, 12hr shifts?
In procedures usually you get dumped on on a 12 hr shift. left over cases of sick pts without anyone left in house to relieve you on-time. if everyone goes home at six and a few are finishing cases until 8 (12 HR People) it gets a little frustrating . but it is nice to have more time off

they make disposable diaphram covers, but just to make things easy some people put a glove over it for all pts

old school vs. new school
happens all the time in the cath lab. usually people wait it out until they establish that they are good at whet they do and then become more assertive as time goes on.

ACLS question
It would depend on hospital policy. We had somone who was a paramedic who also worked in the cath lab. He is very capable of intubating pts. but would get spanked if he did it in the lab because he was not covered if anything went wrong wit the pt. not just with the tubing

Army Reserves
If you think its worth the possiblity of being deployed.... I was looking into this about 10 years ago. I would go with somone in the service already. They know exactly what you can negotiate for in your contract. Good Luck
