Current/past students...what is your schedule?

Published

Hi, I'm curious what type of schedule I can expect when I'm in school...what days/times, etc? I'm trying to strategize how to fit in work.

Thanks for your help!

Hello...

Heres a schedule from Mesa CC @ Boswell Nursing Program Block 2:

Monday (Pharm Lab) 0800-1330

TUesday (Theory) 0900-1250

Then every other wednesday and thursday are my clinicals @ the hospital.

not a bad schedule considering a lot of my classmates either has full time jobs, has kids, or both. I just have kids and no job at the time but it can be done either way.

sweetsmuckers,

Do you happen to remember what your Block 1 schedule was like? I'll be attending Mesa/Boswell starting this Fall. Since I'm a very much a "plan ahead" type person, I'm chomping at the bit to find out what the first semester will be like in regards to hours for classes/clinicals.

Any additional info would be wonderful! (such as supplies you would recommend, etc)

Thanks in advance :-)

Hey mxems! So I just got accepted to MCC's nursing program for fall 2009. I was wondering If you remembered when you recieved your information packets. Was it closer to orientation date or earlier?? Thanks for the schedule walk-through!:)

KMM03,

Are you at the MCC campus or Boswell this Fall?

I will be at Boswell - PM me if you will also and maybe we can exchange email addresses.

http://www.sunhealth.org/nurse/

type that address to your address bar because if yo click the link it wont show up...then:

go to class schedule, then click block 1. it says fall 2008 but the schedule is still like that...

as far as supplies go: get a pda...u dont have to but very useful during clinicals because we use a program called unbound nursing ...something like that...that has the medical dictionary, lab pocket guide, and so on. very useful. and also...get one of those ccart with wheels because at times, you will be carrying all your books. what else can i tell you? hmmm....read in advance, do all your work and youll be good to go.....good luck again!

Hey d2s,

I didn't get into Mesa Boswell..sorry..I got into MesaCC in Mesa. But the best of luck to you and congrads!

You know I can't really remember when we got the info packets. I believe you get them in the mail a month or two prior to class. Don't wait to start getting your immunizations. Start them up now.

mxems,

do you know specifically which immunizations we need to have?
