Hey Everyone!
I didn't see a thread started for this years round of applications to the 2019 CU UCAN program at Anschutz so I decided to create one! I have submitted my application, has anyone else? Now I am just waiting to hear back!
I saw that groups in the past have met up prior to the interview to help with pre-interview jitters and to get to know one another. I would definitely be interested in doing that as well.
I think we should hear back by sometime in July. Also did anyone get the email about the new CASPer test you have to take if you get selected for an interview?
I'd love to talk to people applying this year!
Caitlin
Carly,
Well then let's do coffee, I'm flexible as I have that entire day before the interview to cruise around. Any places that you think would be a good spot? I am not super familiar with the area as I lived on the other side of town. I know there is a Starbucks down the road right in front of that City Market, that could be a good spot as it's close to the campus?
Anyone else interested in joining?
Mallory
I don't know where everyone is going to be the day before but I'll be in Lakewood (west denver) for work until 5. I'm open to going where ever is most convenient for everyone. I don't really do facebook or anything so if we want to a text/email group, that'd be fine with me! [email protected]/970-426-9410
Yes definitely want to meet up! I am flying in on Wednesday morning. I have Wednesday afternoon and evening free or I could meet Thursday early morning before the interview. I will be staying a half mile west of campus.
It looks like there are several independent coffee shops within a few blocks of campus! Anyone from around town have a suggestion for a place that would accommodate a small group? For Thursday morning it looks like Caribou Coffee opens up early enough and is large enough. Or for Wednesday afternoon/evening there is Jolet, Jubilee, Logan, Caribou, or Starbucks?
I'm thinking the evening before too for the meeting, lets do Caribou, I hear they have good snacks (I am all about the snacks). As for the CASPer test. I just did some YouTube prep videos, and checked out that link that Carly posted. I also ran through the systems check available on the website and I felt like that was adequate for prep.
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and goes by very quickly! Also the tech team is SUPER helpful if you have any questions, they reply quickly and are very nice.

I got invited for an interview for the 2019 UCAN! In my attempts to find out more about the interview process and what the CASPer test was, I found these discussions!
