I didn't see a thread started for this years round of applications to the 2019 CU UCAN program at Anschutz so I decided to create one! I have submitted my application, has anyone else? Now I am just waiting to hear back!
I saw that groups in the past have met up prior to the interview to help with pre-interview jitters and to get to know one another. I would definitely be interested in doing that as well.
I think we should hear back by sometime in July. Also did anyone get the email about the new CASPer test you have to take if you get selected for an interview?
Hey everyone! I have also applied to the UCAN program. I called CU's nursing program admissions office this past week and the woman who answered told me that we will hear what the admissions board decided on July 2, 2018. I thought I would let everyone know so that we can all hold off on incessantly checking our email inboxes, and ease our anxiety a little.
Thank you for letting us know! I have been constantly checking my email, but this will give me a little piece of mind until Monday at least! Sending out good vibes for everyone.
FYI, My friend went through the app process for nursing at anschutz a couple years ago and the day she was supposed to hear back about the interview she didn't get an email until 11:52pm that day. Keep your composure! I assume they will send out emails this evening. Good vibes to you all!
I wouldnt worry too much about your stats. CU takes a lot into account and they value diversity in their students. Theres students with 4.0's and 3.0's. From heaps of clinical experience to solely lab experience. So it varies. And once you get your interview, I believe its an even playing field at that point. GOOD luck.
Thank you! When comparing programs CU deemed to be one of the few that really cared to have a well rounded applicant. Now I am just a ball of nerves waiting to hear back!!!!
