i wish I had done better on the Teas and in AP, but whats done is done and all I can do now is pray! I have selected Norwalk CC as my first choice and Gateway as my second. I am excited to hear from you all !I hope we all make it!!!
I was also wait listed from NCC. I am number 23. Super upset and have been crying like every day for the past few days. I got a B in anatomy 1 A- in anatomy 2 and 79 on my TEAS. Does anyone know how likely it would be for me to still get in?
You have really good grades! I don't understand why you didn't get in! I really hate community colleges!
I think people who took less pre reqs will have advantage over me cuz they take all classes that count ur nursing classes..that is what I think cuz I don't get how they make the selection..they shld at least let u know this n that classes they took during ur selection process.
Hi Ariana214! We are going to be classmates! lol. I have submitted my acceptance letter, too. Its the first step. But there is so much more to do and deadlines to keep in mind. In terms of the online document portal, I have submitted most of my documents including CPR. I plan on going to the evening orientation on the 18th to learn more.
I am curious, for all those who are starting in the fall and are working right now, do you plan on working through nursing school if so what are you going to say to your employer? How will your lifestyle/Schedule change? I ask because I know that nursing school is a big time commitment.
Hi @jmw06005 !! Congrats to you!! I am going to start uploading my paperwork tomorrow, Did you find that your profile states class of '17 when we are actually class of '18? My due dates say overdue and I wondered if I should wait until they update the website to submit. Maybe it's just mine. I looked on my commnet and it shows my major as nursing...so exciting. I actually have a meeting with my manager planned for next week to break the news. My educator at work (Local hospital) thinks that they will allow me to continue to work army current job in a pediatric clinic in between classes. I am going to try to shoot for he evening clinicals and possibly ork 24 hrs a week. I'm going to have to look into loans to supplement but I know it'll all work out.
Ariana214 its great that you have a support network and people who want to see you succeed. That is a great thing to have and a driving force behind successful nurses. I am nervous about it because that is lacking for me.
What is your GAP, Teas, and A&P 1 and 2 grades if you don't mind sharing...
