Published

Hello All! I wanted to start a new thread for all of the Connecticut Community College Fall 2016 applicants. The deadline is a month away!! Lets share our scores and hope that all of our hard work and dedication will pay off!!!

Nursing GPA 3.55

Teas 74.7

AP 1 B

i wish I had done better on the Teas and in AP, but whats done is done and all I can do now is pray! I have selected Norwalk CC as my first choice and Gateway as my second. I am excited to hear from you all !I hope we all make it!!!

Congratulations !!! You will be good!!! I am worry because I don't know why I fails two times teas v test(44%)My AP1 was A , Chemistry A , gpa 3.4 .This Friday I will take again teas v I hope I pass

Thanks Agnes! You will do well on Friday! Third time's a charm!!! Good luck!

Ooh! I'm glad someone started a thread. I just submitted my application a couple of days ago and I'm so nervous and excited! :nailbiting: April can't come soon enough. I just need to make sure one more transcript gets received and I'm currently taking Soc 101 online during this winter intersession...since it's a co-requisite and I took it in the past, it'll get included in my nursing GPA for admission -- and it's the only icky grade I have (C+), so I figured taking it again couldn't hurt.

As it stands, I have a 3.67 nursing gpa (factoring in all my taken co-requisites, too), A in A&P1, and I got a 93.3 on my teas. I selected Capital as my first choice school and Northwestern as my second.

I've been trying to persue nursing school for more years than I care to admit, lol, so I'm just thankful that I've gotten to this point and that there's a light at the end of the tunnel finally. :D

Good luck everyone!

I was going to apply but can't. Chem doesn't end for me until May and I took my high school chem class 12 years ago [emoji107]🏼

Agnes, your stats are good, but TEAS are low. When you take them on Friday make sure you get a print out to see where your weakest section is. If you don't pass on Friday you have a couple of weeks to practice and retake it one more time. Amazon has cheap older edition TEAS practice books, you can rent or buy. The community school library has some on reserve too. You can do this! Good luck tomorrow :)

Do you have to take Chem?

My understanding is that it's a required pre req? And honestly I don't think I can score high enough on the TEAS because of the science portion without it. The study guide just isn't working for my brain lol

Yes, it is a required pre-ref unless you've taken it in high school within the time limit. I would definitely suggest taking it before the Teas. One version oft he test is chemistry heavy. Good Luck!

Thanks! High school chem was hell for me 12 years ago.. But then again high school was hell so lets see how this goes

Unless NVCC hasn't updated their site yet only pre requisites are English/Composition class, a Computer Science Class, and A&P 1/2.

I last looked on the CT CCNP info but on the individual schools.. Though NVCC, Gateway are my choices for the community colleges and BHSN as a back up.
