CTCCNP 2016 Applicants

Published

Hello All! I wanted to start a new thread for all of the Connecticut Community College Fall 2016 applicants. The deadline is a month away!! Lets share our scores and hope that all of our hard work and dedication will pay off!!!

Nursing GPA 3.55

Teas 74.7

AP 1 B

i wish I had done better on the Teas and in AP, but whats done is done and all I can do now is pray! I have selected Norwalk CC as my first choice and Gateway as my second. I am excited to hear from you all !I hope we all make it!!!

I've heard clinical could be Tues/Weds or Weds/Thurs either 7-3:00 or 3-11:00. Or Sat/Sun 7-3:00. Something like that. I don't think we get to choose our times/days.

Well, that isn't going to leave me much time to work I guess. Oh, well whatever will be will be! Super excited though.

I got into NCC. I have been collecting all my documents and checking mycommnet every second (idk why just so happy). I am concerned about class and clinical times. They are listed as:

Intro to NSG Practice MT 11:15 am-01:15 pm

WRFS 07:00 am-01:30 pm

WR 03:00 pm-09:30 pm

First of all why does the lecture have to be right smack middle of the day? I would prefer beginning or end of the day.

Also, when are the clinicals? I am looking for weekend or evening times ideally.

Congratulations everyone who got in! I have been checking this post, it has been my lifeline during this application process. It has been comforting to know there are others out there that have similar thoughts and questions.

HEY! I just dropped off my acceptance reply for to the nursing director on my lunch break and signed up for the online document portal. I'm so excited and! I too am bothered by the lecture time, especially since I work. I will obviously have to cut down my hours. Orientation is sooo far away: The clinical schedule has all of the options but We will have to chose two days of the ones listed above. First semester requires 4 hrs of lecture per week and 16 hrs of clinicals (2 days). Congratulations!!!!

Hmmmm...i received a letter today and my waitlist number is 17 out 168 for Gateway CC. am so sad but i will never give up.

thets not a bad number!

How do we if you get accepted off the waiting list?

Hi guys,

I have just received my waitlist letter today and my number is 10 for GWCC! I'm hoping that I get a call soon! I can't take the wait much longer!

Also, the letter states to send in transcript to show that A&P 11 has been completed and to avoid being removed from waitlist? I took my course at HCC back in 2014 and this was shown on my transcripts that I sent in with all other application requirement items, should I still send another transcript?

Thanks!

Hi Liliana_11,

I believe once the school has open seats available they will call those that were waitlisted? Possibly in May?

i have no idea, the best thing is to contact the person in charge of nursing of your first choice.

That sounds like that makes sense.

I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere that your chances for a seat are greater if you get a wait list number under 20....but don't quote me. Good luck and don't give up hope just yet!!

I sure do hope so!
