Has anyone seen this addendum on the nursing curriculum packet page 9 for the 2017-2018 school year? I'm really, really hoping they're not adding any more prerequisites because I'm chomping at the bit to leave my current career and another year would be so hard!

"Based upon current curriculum planning these course requirements may change slightly, once finalized a transition plan will be put into place."

Alright, thanks. Just paranoid I don't want to give them any reason to kick me out. Heh.

Your Welcome! I would still call Carol just to confirm.

I live minutes away from NCC so I just stopped over. She wasn't there but another advisor was there and she told me the waiver wasn't necessary and I had nothing to worry about.

NVCC people keep checking castle branch they added to more requirements and it caught me a little off guard. Just health insurance and drivers License.

Also uniform deadline is July 17th :) getting excited and scared mostly scared lol

Went to NCC's orientation earlier. Was interesting. It's getting real. Very anxious!

Hi everybody!

Just got a WHOLE bunch of books. Oh my...

Curious if all the CCC program uses Brunner & Suddarth's Med / Surg as well as Taylor Fundamentals of Nursing?

At Norwalk we received our clinical assignments about a month ago.

Only two weekends left before it all begins! Everybody ready? Excited??

hi Laur318,

i am at capital cc and we also use the same books.

i got my syllabus on monday. i feel more nervous after going through the syllabus. ten chapters for the first week, dosage calculation test the following week, first exams and skill validation test the third week. trying to get organized before classes start. have been working on my dosage calculations during the summer break. i am also reading few pages every day from the taylors fundamentals.

Got all my books last month. Been trying to read a little from the nursing fundamentals book. I haven't looked at the dosage calculations quite yet. Very anxious about school beginning!

i will advised you start with the dosage calculations. we were given the pages to read at orientation, about 300 pages. we have the test sept 5. i am very anxious too.

@ Fauzia

At NCC, we were only given one assignment from Taylor Fundamentals. Thank you for your insight regarding dosage calculations. I will get started!

Does anyone know if we have to keep buying books throughout school?
