Has anyone seen this addendum on the nursing curriculum packet page 9 for the 2017-2018 school year? I'm really, really hoping they're not adding any more prerequisites because I'm chomping at the bit to leave my current career and another year would be so hard!
"Based upon current curriculum planning these course requirements may change slightly, once finalized a transition plan will be put into place."
For those who've registered for the background check and the drug screen, did the confirmation emails BOTH say just "background check"I'm over here thinking I haven't registered for the drug screen by mistake.
Yes both emails say background check. You are going to Gateway as well, correct? Have you taken the drug screen yet and/or do you know when we have to or when they are going to ask us to do so? I have no idea when or what to expect...
For the CastleBranch......it rejected one of my submissions because I apparently never got a Tdap so I need to get that. Still need the Hep B series, got one so far...and now it's saying that it accepted my first Varicella submission but now there's a second part to it, and I'm overdue...? I thought everything except Influenza was due 07/01. And I guess confirming having been infected with Varicella isn't good enough? I need titers or vaccinations done again....? This is going to get expensive....Oye.
NVCC all due June 1st
Hi. I am also attending Capital in the fall, I recently emailed the assistant to the Director of Nursing and she said that we can bring the completed forms with us to orientation, but if I wanted to I could drop them off before then.See everyone at orientation.
Thank you for the clarification! See you at orientation!
I have a question, I've completed the vaccine requirements except for the Hep B. I've done the first two but won't get the third until December. There's a waiver form available for students that don't want the vaccines. Should I drop that off just as a precaution? The Castlebranch stuff is due July 1 but obviously don't have the Hep B series complete. I did note on the waiver that I'm in progress.

Im going to NCC and I am in the same boat with HEP B but I spoke to Carol and she told me not to worry about it. She never said anything about a waiver, but she did say not to worry and just have it completed as soon as I can, even after the due date.
