Has anyone seen this addendum on the nursing curriculum packet page 9 for the 2017-2018 school year? I'm really, really hoping they're not adding any more prerequisites because I'm chomping at the bit to leave my current career and another year would be so hard!

"Based upon current curriculum planning these course requirements may change slightly, once finalized a transition plan will be put into place."

Was that $500 per semester or $500 for the complete program?

Apologies for some reason that was sent. Yeah my friend was accepted into Norwalk last year. She said all the books she needed for the entire program was purchased at the start. Said it cost about $500, but it's books for 4 semesters not a bad deal. For scrubs can't recall the cost she mentioned.

There were that many waitlisted applicants just at NVCC alone?!? Holy. ****.

Yep trying to figure a plan B out. I have to take Gen Chem now and NVCC makes you take College Algebra with it. Taking Lifespan as well next fall. I need Statistics but not sure if I can squeeze it in and if I should do it online or not.

Looking to apply to NVCC and Northwestern again; might make Northwestern my first choice this time. WCSU, CCSU, and SCSU ACE program.

Naugatuck Valley people.. where is Noreen's office? I'm working in Waterbury today so I was just going to drop of my acceptance but I don't know where to go.

In Kinney hall room 500. That's admissions.

Specializes in Surgical Nursing.

Does anyone have to give notice to their employer to attend nursing school? I'm in a fix because I want to tell them at work but it's 4 months before I'll be leaving so I'm wondering if that is excessive notice. I work at a bank, and the hours are incompatible with school schedule. My plan is to at least give 4 weeks notice but the mandatory orientation is June 16th, and I can't take the day off, because we already have an employee on vacation that week. So I can either call out sick that day, or tell them what's going on, and hope they'll give me the day off anyways because of the circumstances. I'm totally torn which is the right choice.

Any LPN candidates that are going to GWCC? Have you made an appointment with an advisor yet to talk about the bridge and charter oak?

honesty is the best policy lol I would tell them now and bring in documentation of the mandatory orientation.

So.. I bought myself an Apple Watch for school/for getting in school :woot:

They accept even fewer students. If I don't make it of the wait list I am retaking A&P 1 since that is so important and my TEAS over and over until it's a super high score! Anything that is not a B or better and Bs are even ify

GWCC #39 out of 206.

Does anyone know how much the program is per semester?

Wow they went all the way up to 206? Number 39 out of 206 is something to be proud of. The way I see it we just have to tweak a few things if we don't make it off the waitlist ❤️
