CSUSM ABSN Summer 2022

I have not yet seen a thread started for the Summer 2022 cohort at CSUSM in Temecula. It’s been nice to see previous groups chat and support each other! My application was fully completed last week.

Hi everyone, thought you would all like to know that the school released the admission stats for Spring 2022 - here they are:

Avg: 36.70

range: 35-47

pre nursing core GPA: 3.74

last 60 GPA: 3.69

TEAS: average 88.39

Just got my acceptance letter to the Summer 2022 term, but I will be turning it down, because I am already attending another ABSN program. Good luck everyone!

I also got my acceptance letter this morning! I applied to SF State, which is my #1, but I won't hear back until next month. I'm glad they got the letters out quickly but it's earlier than a few other Summer-start programs. 

@Duncanda will you be accepting admission?

@sims4nurse - I will definitely pay the deposit and go through the steps. But I am also waiting on a few other schools in the next few weeks to make a final decision. I have friends that went through this program that couldn’t say better things about it so we will see!

@Sethman, thanks and yes, I received my points eval in December, I had previously submitted an application to the program so I had once before received a partially completed points evaluation, when I got it this time it said “updated eval” so they must have kept it on file and were able to quickly finish it. If you haven’t got your eval back yet, maybe contact EL and see what is missing.. it took me a long time to get my transcripts accepted correctly when I did it last year. Best to you. Michael

@Sethman - I had to prompt them to finish my evaluation and get it to me. It got lost in the shuffle. I have an international transcript so I think that’s what caused mine to be delayed.
 

I did also challenge one of the grades they originally used for a prerequisite and asked them to use another and they accepted the change. They are willing to work with you. Just as an FYI for people. 
 

Does anyone know when the start is? I believe it is early June.
