CSUSM ABSN Summer 2021

Anyone planning on applying to CSUSM's ABSN for Summer of 2021? I know it's early, but their priority deadline is Septmber 30th, 2020. I was hoping we could consolidate questions/info on this thread as we go along.

I have one more prereq to go (anatomy this Summer) before my app is complete. Where is everyone else at in the process?

I got mine at 5pm, about 7 weeks after I submitted my app

I got mine at 11:15 exactly 6 weeks after I submitted my final transcript.

So it's sounding like we will be hearing back by the end of November, correct? Also, I am assuming there is no interview? ? I am so ready to find out, I
 have one other program considering and I need to decide soon ?

Hey what's your other program?  I'm waiting on Asuza Pacific and an ADN

I am also waiting for Asuza Pacific. I got accepted recently to the University of SF's Entry-MSN program. But I am worried that having a general MSN without a specialization like FNP or NP would not hold as much value as a good ol' BSN, since I only have a BA. So technically I would be hired as a brand new RN.

Congratulations! Extremely competitive program!!  What a feat!  I Hope its affordable. I like the cost of CSUSM the most. And I agree,  I don't think the generic MSN holds much weight. Strange they don't have the specialiazations like APU offers.

Thank you ! I am really excited to be offered a seat, I still can’t believe I got in. But yeah it’s definitely not affordable it’s 97k ? it’s goes up about 2k per year it’s so much, plus housing in SF which I can’t even imagine right now..So CSUSM does appeal more in terms of cost .

97k? ! Plus housing! They are as much as Sam Merrit. I had no idea.  That's very expensive.  I'm sure you'll get into CSUSM if you got in there ? and APU.  I think CSUSM is 40k? Apu 60k. So still expensive,  but more manageable LOL
