CSUSM ABSN Summer 2016

I thought I would start a thread for CSUSM's ABSN Summer 2016 Nursing Program - for anyone who's taking pre-requisites, has applied to or is in the process of applying, and for support to those who become accepted (to connect with each other). I am from ABSN Cohort 19....good luck and let me know if you have any questions.

Yay on finally getting your evaluation! I received 42 points (3.69 pre-nursing core GPA, 4.0 last 60, and 90.7 TEAS). Hopefully they can get you in for the summer as soon as your degree is conferred. :D

Hello everyone,

I just called the office too and the girl who answered was very nice. She told me that it will take about 4 weeks for the eval to be emailed to students once the application is completed. She didnt say that the summer cohort was full or anything. She just told me to keep my eye out for the email.

Hey!! Just wanted to let you all know that the paperwork for the background check is due today. You should have received an email with the documents.

Have you been conditionally accepted to the summer cohort? If you have, you should definitely give them a call. Here is the email I received on Feb. 9th:

"Hello ABSN 25 students,

Please see the attached ordering instruction sheet and policy for your background check.

Reminder: this is due by February 16, 2016.

Failure to complete background check by this date will result in your denied admission to the cohort.

I know this is the summer cohort thread, but I was wondering if any of you had any advice or information for housing. I was just accepted into the Fall 2016 cohort and will be relocating from northern California. I'm not too sure where to start looking. Thanks!!

I got my eval Friday and the acceptance email later that night, which actually really surprised me that it was so quick. Good luck to you, I hope you get in! :)
