Hi all! I'm a bit surprised I couldn't find a thread already started on this, so I finally decided to join AllNurses and start it myself :)
As many may have discovered by now, the prerequisites for CSU San Bernardino's nursing program have changed:
1. BIOL 220 (Microbiology)
2. BIOL 223 (Anatomy & Physiology I)
3. BIOL 224 (Anatomy & Physiology II)
4. CHEM 205 (Fundamentals of Chemistry: General Chemistry)
5. COMM 120 or Hon 104C 9Oral Communication)
6. CRITICAL THINKING
7. ENG 107, 104a, 104b, or 106 (Freshman Composition)
8. MATH 115 (Ideas of Math)
As such, I felt as if I couldn't look to previous average acceptance scores and GPAs to measure the probability I'll be accepted.
This thread is for anyone who has applied for Fall 2013 (let's share the anxiety of waiting for letters, lol), anyone who has questions about applying to CSUSB's BSN program in general, or anyone who has been accepted and would be so kind as to offer advice (please?).
@Michelle Lala: They mail a letter - unless you're an alternate, then you'll get a phone call when a spot opens up (that's my understanding from @am90)
@k78frem: I'm not sure if anyone in this forum is taking classes at csusb this summer, but I know there are a couple people who intend on stopping by to check if the list is up.
I cant take the wait!! I applied to both csusb campuses..so Im hoping for either one. if i get into the palm desert campus imma look for apartments out there. Really hope we get news soon!
I just talked to another classmate who is applying to CSUSB nursing - she said she called today to find out when the list would be posted. The lady who answered the phone told her "the end of next week or the week after". I seriously doubt that it would be posted that late given time for mailing letters and allowing time for people to respond. I wonder if the girls who are answering the phones over there have the correct information?
I don't live near the campus or I would go over there and just check every day.
I also called the nursing department around 11 a.m. this morning and that is the exact same thing the lady told me. She added that they were getting close to completing the list though. So I really don't know when to expect the list to be put up. Maybe she was meaning when letters go out, not the list being put up? Since we have gotten different answers from different people, I guess all we can do is just keep checking, and take all answers with a grain of salt...
I check this board several times a day hoping that someone has posted... its become a small obsession. I wish I were in classes so I could divert this concentration into something a little more productive.
Called in just a few minutes ago; they told me the list would be posted either at the end of this week or the beginning of the next. I'll call again Friday.
Hope everyone's doing well! I've tried to keep busy with COPE, housecleaning, reading different nursing books from B&N and my mom's collection, reviewing old notes, job-searching, and Grey's Anatomy. Definitely can't wait for the fall quarter to begin, though...
I'm really hoping it's the end of this week! Although the weekends go by fast, it's still a long wait since they're closed on Fridays! I'm sure they're doing their best to complete the list; I'm just so excited to find out if I got in or not!
Hi everyone... Good news! I called the nursing department a couple minutes ago, and the lady said the list should be up by the end of this week!! She said nothing of next week. So, hopefully we won't have to wait all weekend! If anyone else has contacted them today, let me know if they gave you the same information. Thanks!

This wait is so nerve wracking! I know we are suppose to hear back "mid July" but does anybody know if it will be through email or mail?
