CSUN ABSN 2015

I noticed that there wasn't a thread posted for CSUN ABSN 2015 yet so I thought I'd start one I'm currently a student at CSUN finishing my BA in psychology (I will be graduating this December). I can hardly wait to start nursing school! I wanted to start this thread so us CSUN applicants can get to know each other.

Hey everyone! Congrats to those whom have already heard back! Did you guys get an email sent to your personal email account or your CSUN email? I haven't received anything yet, and I applied for Fall 2015. Didn't realize you could have chosen to be flexible and get placed in summer or fall :no: wishing everyone the best of luck! Hope we all get some good news!

I hope we all get some good news too! 😄 I still haven't heard anything but I called them yesterday and they said acceptances will still be sent out until the first week of April! 👍

Yeah I just want the wait to be over! It would be so great to get in, but if I didn't make the cut then I just want to find out! This uncertainty is agonizing.

Congrats on your acceptance ! Just curious, how long did they give you to accept ? I also applied for the fall cohort but haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully it's longer than what they gave the summer cohort ;)

Congratulations! :) I hope the rest of us hear soon too! If you don't mind, could you please tell me what your GPA is or if you have any healthcare experience? I'm just asking to try and see if my qualifications are enough lol. You must be so happy! Congrats again! :)

My undergrad gpa wasn't great. 3.3-3.4 GPA for business admin. I had 2-3 years of work experience in business. I had 1 year of ED experience as a volunteer, and one year of direct patient care experience as a Clinical care extender intern--2 years and counting bc I am still going to intern until the program starts. I got A's in every pre-req class except for two non-sciences, in which I got a C+ and B. i personally dont think it is just about grades. It's also experience and the statement? I feel very lucky right now!

Idk if my stats are competitive, but i would stay keep on striving!! volunteer and work! if I didnt get in, i would try again for the next application cycle. I was gonna get my CNA license, and work three jobs until I got into a school.

Thanks for being so open about your experience! 😄 I am also a CCE and I'm a CCE at Glendale Adventist. I really hope to get into either fall or summer cohort because this program is my top choice. I hope to hear sometime this week and not wait until next week because my birthday is April 3rd and I don't want to spend my birthday being anxious lol. Congrats, I am happy for you! 😊
