CSULB Spring 2015

Published

Hey everyone,

I want to apply for csulb nursing program for spring 2015 cohort, is there anybody here who is applying for spring also? Do you think spring cohort is easier to get in?

I received an email from stating that a different class than I expected will be used for my critical thinking requirement and that it is great news because in this class I received an A vs a B so based on my calculations I would have a 9.20 is my math is counted at .76 but 9.21 if it is counted as .767 because it was 76.7% either way it is better than 9.08 so I feel a bit better and less stressed I suppose.

Oh nice they are adding up our points already? Hopefully I'll get my points soon!

They didn't give me my points they just said they made a change in the class used and based on that information I gather that I have more points than I though I would have

They tell us what our scores are? Through email?

I'm not sure, they haven't sent me mine but someone posted the calculation in a different thread. Science GPa points is what your science GPa is. The prereq GPa divided by 4 multiply by 2. The teas overall percent multiply by 2 (so .50x3) and teas math score same thing and add together. If someone else has a better way of explaining please help

Hey guys, I hope you guys are prepared for the craziness that is nursing school! I'm sure what they tell you is that getting in is the hard part... But it's the easy part. Be prepared to be in the books and stuff like that so much!

Wow , how does your first semester feel like ? Don't you really have life ? Do we have to say bye to everything once we get in to the program ?

I doubt they will send scores to us. They will only contact you right now if they are reviewing your application and there is a small error that needs to be corrected.

I went through this last semester....

They wont even send a confirmation email saying they received your application; they definitely DO NOT email you your score. You will have to call to confirm if they even received your application. (unless there are some discrepancies with your application, in which case they will call you)

Q: How you figure out if you're accepted?

A: You will get a letter in the mail stating your acceptance. There was NO prior contact for a communication exercise (aka, interview). Everyone who was accepted, was LATER given a choice of dates to complete the interview.

For the Fall 14 cohort, we first received contact--in the form of an acceptance letter-- about 2 MONTHS later. I don't know why this cohort would find out any sooner, but we will see.

Just keep watching this thread, and see when others start to receive their letters of acceptance. Typically, people living closest to the school will receive the first letters--only because of their post office being closer--so just keep watching here...

If you do not get a letter, you can call the nursing office, and they will tell you what your score was / what the cutoff scores are / and if you're accepted or not.

The denial letters come out after... followed by a denial letter from the University. ..

Post your grades and test scores, and I'll calculate your points. Its too much to explain again with typing.

I've never got a denial letter or the fall cohort , they only sent me n email , thats all ,

don't they notify us via email ?

I received the denial letters by mail. NEVER an email.... they never emailed anything other than the supplemental app and other application stuff... after that, all postal mail.
