CSULB Nursing - Spring 2014

Published

Anyone who apply for CSULB Nursing Spring 2014?

Yeah - you just go on their site and look at their schedule and then email [email protected]

And tell them what class you wish to attend. I already called to just double check that it's what we need for school and apparently they have a lot of nursing students attend and they confirmed it's the correct class. At the end you get a card to prove your completion of the class :)

And sorry it's pro-CPR not cpr-pro

And yeah I live in LB. I fortunately live in the apartment complexes right across the street from the school. They are really nice - a tad expensive. I believe it's $1580 for a one bed room and then there are smaller studio apartments that are maybe $100-200 cheaper. It comes w Parking, washer and dryer, pool, work out center, and hot tub and what not. The CSULB also picks up right at the front

There are also studio apartments for about $800 on 7th and pch right next to the jack in the box and across from Denny's

Specializes in Family medicine, Cardiology, Spinal Cord Injury.

Anyone here apply to the MSN NP program? Is it competitive to get into? I'm interested in applying and was wondering what the application process entails and if the GRE is needed.

Thanks for the help CF17! It would definitely be nice to live so close to school! I'll keep that in mind if I don't find anything else I like for cheaper (=

Just received an email stating that the orientation will be on December 14! See you all there!

For the certified profile are we suppose to do just the background check (code CB76BC) or are we suppose to order the background check plus the health organizer (code CB76)

they listed both but didn't tell us which one to use?

Hey everyone! I have kind of been lurking on this page for awhile now but finally decided to make an account! I too, was accepted for spring 2014 at CSULB. I am a transfer student currently living and going to school in Orange County. I have one question that I am hoping someone could help me answer. For any of you who are planning to move closer to the school, how do you plan on paying for everything? After going over my FAFSA, with my grants and loans they offered me, it still wouldn't cover rent and living expenses. Do any of you take out other loans privately? If there are any secrets or words of advice I would love to hear them as I would really like to relocate closer to school. Thanks so much!!

Hey guys - so for the NSO insurance the date that it says to have it start is wrong. I called to make sure and they said have it start Jan 21st. Not November 26th

Thanks CF17. Did they also tell you which background check package to purchase?

Nursesteen - My aid & loan wont cover everything either. Finances will be rough especially if I am in the trimester program. I would suggest finding roommates, that will make your rent as cheap as possible. I am rooming with my boyfriend so we split everything which helps me. I am trying to not take out any private loans.

I'm guessing it's the combo background and health tracker bc it was on the to do list. I believe the code is BC76

I'm gonna call tomorrow and ask again. I just feel dumb calling like everyday with questions haha but sometimes their directions are not very clear!

Hi Guys,

I too got accepted in the nursing program for Spring 2014. I am actually a current CSULB student and a commuter, but now that I got accepted I definitely need to move to long beach since the program is too demanding to be fighting traffic daily. I'm actually looking in the area to see what's available

So I called…again…

Unfortunately, it is the more expensive package for the certified background software. BC76 I believe (double check that to make sure tho!)

Also if you have had the chicken pox before you do not need the vaccine but you still do need the titer

anyone know where they are looking to get their Titers done? I saw a package for all of the ones we need but its $189…was hoping for something cheaper
