I actually called yesterday to see if they had any idea about orientation and they said they hadn't picked a date yet :/

Finally received official acceptance from the school this morning! It says to submit official transcripts by Nov. 22 and accept admission by Dec. 1! However, mycsulb still says the transcripts are due Nov. 15.

Are you referring to the email sent out saying you were accepted into the school? I'm just confused bc in my letter it didn't say anything about resending my official transcripts. Did you not send your official transcripts when you applied to the school or are you not a transfer?

I am a transfer and this is the letter from CSULB. I did send my official transcripts to the School of Nursing when I applied. After being accepted into the School of Nursing the email stated we would get a formal acceptance from CSULB which is what I got today. Now we are required to send transcripts again, but this time it will go to admissions instead of the SoN.

Oh okay - that's weird bc when I applied to the university (I'm a transfer too) they had told me I had to send my transcripts before they even considered my application basically. I had to send my transcripts to both the nursing and admissions department at that time.

Idk why it would be different. Maybe bc I had to apply as a graduate student?

KGOD same here. I finally got the email this morning too. I just went to the school to turn in my official transcripts and finished my financial paper work. WHOOT WHOOT I am all set and ready for the orientation. In the mean time I think I am going to look for a place to get my CPR certification. See Ya'll soon!

I took my CPR class at cpr-pro.com

$40 and really easy to sign up. They have classes in LB every Wednesday I think from 330-630

Thanks CFI7! I will look into it. So its about 3 hours long? and they give you some kind of certification when you are done?

I don't think they've set a date for orientation yet, but I am looking forward to meeting all of you! I'm actually heading down to LB on this weekend to look for a place to live and to hand in my transcripts! Is anyone familiar with Long Beach and know good areas to live?
