Anyone who apply for CSULB Nursing Spring 2014?
I am a transfer student also and I did not receive an email from CSULB. I only got an email from the nursing department stating that I got accepted and will be contacted later on for orientation. I feel that there is a disconnect between the admission office and the nursing department. There is no follow up instruction as to what the next step is. There should have been an email sent out saying that we must log on to my.csulb.edu to accept our admission and then we would know to submit our transcript.
Puffin45 go to CSULB Enrollment Services then click on the check my application status link. It will take you to my.csulb.edu. Follow the instruction to continue. It's ok if you don't know your student ID yet. Just need your social security number and your birthdate. You should now see your application status along with your student ID number. Once you have the studen ID number go to my.csulb.edu and click on activate your account. Then you should be able to log into you my.csulb account and accept your admission. Hope this helps. Good luck
I did not get an email regarding my application. I only found out that i can accept my admission (pending the submission of my official transcript) when i went on my.csulb.edu via the link i posted to check my application status. that is when i saw on the same page that i can activate my account. It also said that one I have activated my account I can accept or decline the admission offer. Its kinda hard to explain everything since there was a lot of steps. hope this helps though.
were you able to get your student ID number? When and where (what page) does it tell you that you need to contact security admin?
Hey guys,
I too am a post bachelor transfer…
I did receive an email from the admission office a couple days ago informing me that I was accepted into the university. Part of it said…
"since CSULB is open to selected second bachelor programs, you are being offered admission to the program for which you applied. Should you decide that you wish to change your program to another second bachelor program, your choice of available second bachelor programs is limited only to programs open for admissions by CSULB at this time."
It then said on the bottom of the email that "all university requirements have been confirmed based on official transcripts" and that my status was "clear admit"
Regarding having to submit all your official transcripts I was informed that this had to be done a while ago when I was applying to the university - did any other transfers do this as well?
Also with the questions about the ID - when I first applied to the university they sent out an email saying they received my application and in that email was your student ID…maybe check your junk mail?
I activated my account and student email but I don't recall coming across anything that specifically said "accept" or "decline" admissions?? Do you know if thats all you have to do? I called the office and they still don't have a date for orientation…I'm guessing with spring session starting Jan 21st it would be sometime in the beginning of January?
Lastly, I have been checking some old threads about what we would need for our orientation check list and some of the things were a copy of all our immunization records and taking a AHA CPR class…I found one in LB for only $40 that does classes every Wednesday. Figured would get that out of the way now.
Congrats to everyone else and look forward to meeting you all :)
Finally figured out the accept admissions or not...
What I did was log onto my csulb (if its your first time you need to simply activate it first)
Once you are logged in …. click "student center" on the left
If its your firs time visiting your student center it will bring up a notification about how you are able to vote for something…just click continue.
Once you are at your student center page scroll to the bottom and you will see on the left "admissions" column
Under that column click "Accept/decline" and simply follow instructions to accept your admissions into the university if you are a transfer student :)
