I'm surprised that no one else has started a thread about CSU Long Beach's nursing interview for Fall 2011! The Interviews begin next week and isn't anyone out there as nervous as I am! I live in Norcal so the long drive down to Long Beach, will hopefully be well worth it!
I have only gathered small bits and pieces of information about the interview for CSULB and if you guys would like to share what you know with me; that would help a lot.
I moved my interview to Friday at 9am. Haha I'll be driving down to Long Beach on Thursday, then be staying at friends that lives an hour and a half away. Then waking up early to hopefully get there early! Oh what a week this will be. Beside so, I'm looking for jobs right now, and I have two job interviews on Tuesday. I can't wait to retire then maybe then I can rest!!!
The interview is a group interview and you like watch a movie and discuss it afterwards. I heard that even the they already know who they are picking for their 90 before the interview. They just want to see how you do in a group setting. Participate and you will do fine. But.don't think that if you participate that means your in. You might be an alternate. Remember cutoff for last fall was I think 8.9. Everyone below that was an alternate.

Why are you getting a job before you enter NS? I heard a job and NS will be extremely hard to balance.
I'm not in a nursing program yet, haha, I'll see if I can balance work and school life when I get into a nursing program. But for now, I just want to work full-time because I only have one class and the wait for nursing school is just killing me! So many reasons why I need a job! I would hope to pick up a couple of skills before I dive straight into nursing.
I hope I don't become just an alternate for CSULB!
I tried to call her this morning; hoping to catch her before the interviews, but no one was there to pick up I'll call again tomorrow.
The "interview" was super easy. Seriously, if you are stressing, stop now. Really, stop. There is absolutely nothing to stress about. Went exactly as calstateprenursing stated.
