CSULB FALL 2020

Published

Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program.

Yeah sorry about that it has been a minute since I had to pay these fees. I looked at some old bank statements to try to include all costs and I would say ballpark everything you included will run you 1450 - 1700.

Was all of this due by orientation?

Mine still says my application has been “forwarded to the academic department for review.”

I was looking at last year’s thread and it seemed like 2nd degree seekers found out about a week later for some reason.

Anyone else still waiting?? AHH I am so anxious to find out haha

I got accepted too! CONGRATS to those who got accepted and to those who got waitlisted (you still have a good chance). I’m still debating between CSULB and SDSU. Does anyone have advice between these two schools?
@ninja1968 typically, you have to submit a deposit when you accept your admission offer. I know for SDSU it is $400 but I’m not sure for LB.

CONGRATS to all who got accepted and waitlisted! I got accepted as well! I'm so thrilled! ?

I won't be 100% happy until we get that official letter of admission so I we activate our accounts LOL. Hopefully those come out soon.

@brreeennnaaa My younger brother went to SDSU and says it was the best decision he's ever made; though his major was something else. I think you have two great options though. Both amazing schools.

No worries! So according to my calculations you have a 3.826

chem 1: 4×4 = 16

chem 2: 4×3 = 12

anatomy: 5×4 = 20

physiology: 5×4 = 20

Microbiology: 5×4 = 20

Total Credits: 23

88 Grade Points divided by 23 Total Credits = 3.826

That's really interesting that your school made you take such high creidt courses AND 2 chem courses. I only had to take 1 Chem, 1 Anatomy, 1 Physio, and 1 Micro class... My chem class was 5 credits total, and the rest were 4 credits. Your total science credits were 23, while mine was only 17. ? LOL weird.

@lulu99 remember in the beginning of all of this we recalculated your GPA? You have a 3.826, not a 3.93. That might be why. Hopefully you can apply next year in Spring 2021!

Hi CONGRATS on getting in ? Based on last year's thread. It looks like there was a $150 deposit due by May 1st. Not sure if this year will be the same, but hopefully that gives you a ball park.

Hi guys ! Can someone please explain the steps to going onto self service account so I can see my admission status? Thank you !

Thanks! I’m aware of the 150$... but I’m wondering if we have to pay for the books, ATI, health tracker, uniforms, etc. before finding out if we are in trimester or semester - which I believe is during orientation.

@Brianna Rinon

click here and then follow the steps!

I checked the self service app and it’s only showing my application for Fall 2018 status. I believe that CSULB students will know whether they got in through email instead of the self service app.

Maybe! I’m planning to just get my BS in smth health related In a 1 year period and take an accelerated ABSN 15 month at CSUN right after. We’d still all become RNs the same time then ? but thank you!

At the end of the day, that’s all that matters!
