Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Long Beach for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can compare and discuss statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program.
I’m confirmed for 3pm also ? @smol_bean
do you think if I just wear a nice blouse/nice pants with no blazer I’ll be fine? ?

Nice, I look forward to meeting you there!! I think you'll be fine without a blazer; I'm just wearing a blouse and pants as well
Does anyone know if the hospital(s) you are assigned to for clinicals are based on your location and/or preference? I live in Culver City, which is why I ask. I’ve read from previous forums that the trimester program does all of their clinicals at Long Beach Memorial Hospital, which is a reasonable distance from me. But, I also heard that the semester program does clinicals at several different hospitals. I am curious if I get accepted into the program and I am assigned to the semester program, if the hospitals I would do my clinicals at would be assigned based on my location and/or preference? I was curious about this information after reading from previous students in the semester program that they did clinicals at various hospitals in Orange County such as: Saddleback in Laguna Hills and Hoag in Newport Beach which is about 50 miles from where I currently live. I know students are chosen for the trimester and semester programs through a lottery, so I just want to be prepared in case I am chosen for the semester program. Any info would be appreciated!

I think a blazer and nice blouse would work perfectly! I'm planning on wearing a nice blouse and black pants (kinda like jeans). For the shoes I'm thinking black flats or a short pair of heels.
