CSULB FALL 2019

Published

Hey everyone!

I know its a bit early but time flies fast and I pretty nervous so I'm sure other people are too. Is anyone applying to CSULB this upcoming semester for fall 2019? Just wanted to make this so we can talk about goals, nerves, points, and ask questions! Also, if there are any current or past CSULB nursing students...any advice? Hope to hear from u guys!

Thank you!

I got admitted! Im soooo happy right now!!

I am admitted as well! So happy and excited to join this prestigious program!

Congratulations everyone!!! I got in as well. I almost can't believe it!

Hi! Long time lurker here. I just found out I’ve been denied from the program. When I went to check why, it said my GPA was not high enough. That confuses me since I got A’s in all the science and GE pre-reqs. The only B I got was in developmental psychology, which was only a co-req.

Does anyone know if they take into account withdrawals from pre-reqs?

Hi everyone! Found out that I was waitlisted! I’m kind of bummed, but all is well because I did find out that I was accepted into CSUCI’s program which was my first choice! I wish all of you the absolute best in life and can’t wait for all of us to become kick a** nurses. Good luck everyone & congrats!! ?☺️

@dt1115they don't count classes you withdrew from to try for a higher grade

Hi everyone! First post here but been following. I logged in and it still says that they have forwarded my application for review. Does anyone else still have this?

Just checked my application status on their website through the applicant self service and it says I was admitted!!! Still waiting to hear from the program though to confirm. CSULB has always been my first choice for CSU programs. However, I was also admitted into CSULA's nursing program which is closer to me. I live in west LA. I know this thread will be partial ,but do any of you ladies feel conflicted about choosing between programs? CSULB is where my heart is , but I have a three year old so I'm trying to make the best choice for both of us. Any advice is appreciated!

OMG. Mine says admitted. I am crying and shaking omg omg!! My heart literally dropped when I saw the first "I'M ADMITTED" post because I hadn't gotten any emails but I checked the self service portal and it says I've been offered admission! I cannot believe it. I'm so happy. I got into my other back-up options but CSULB is my #1 choice.

Congrats to everyone else who got admitted! And also congrats to the waitlisters because I spoke to a current CSULB nursing student and she said that she was towards the end of the waitlist and she still got into the program, so you guys got this!

Now I'm just anxious to hear from the actual SON to confirm all of this!

hello, I am applying for spring 2020 and I am curious what your score is (GPA and TEAS) so I can know where I need to be

I have a 4.0 in my science prereqs and 4.0 for my GE prereqs. My TEAS score is 92% overall and 85% for reading. Which puts me at 9.54 points ?

Has anyone received any emails or anything regarding admission? As excited as I am that the self-service says admitted, part of me doesn't wanna get too excited and celebrate until we receive an email or get some kind of notice that we are accepted.

Hi guys, I checked my CSULB application status and I'm admitted as well! Congrats to everyone who got in. I will be attending SDSU's nursing program, so hopefully this will open up a space for those on the waitlist. Don't lose hope ? Good luck and I wish you all the best with your new journeys and future goals!
