CSULB Fall 2014

Published

Hey everyone!

Did anyone else apply to CSULB for Fall 2014? The school app was due last Saturday, and then we have the month of January to submit for the School of Nursing.

Based on previous threads, it looks like we are invited to an interview about a month after the deadline, and the cutoff was ~9.1 points.

Here are my stats so we can see how we stand this year!

Science GPA: 3.58

GE GPA: 3.77

TEAS: 97.3

TEAS Math: 100

I think that works out to about 9.4 points... the average keeps rising each year, so it would be nice to see where we all fall!

Good luck everyone :)

Kpascaul.. same here. I think we will know once we get the letter in the mail, Im pretty sure they tell us which number we are.

I wonder how big the alternate list is. Were all the interviewees either accepted or alternated?

There's 23 people on the alternate list. Most likely everyone on the alternate list gets in for the fall because many many people get into other schools that they prefer over CSULB. For Spring, only a few of the alternates get in because most people will accept their acceptance. Last year Fall 2013, all the alternates got in. Good luck for those that are on the list!

How do you know all the alternates got in last fall?? Now I'm curious how many people are using CSULB as their second/third/fourth choice school! Ive heard that some years they go through the entire alternate list, while others they only pick a few so that could definitely go along with what you're saying. There are so many great nursing programs in the CSU system that its impressive to be accepted to any of them. Congrats to everyone who made it in!

The SON told me.

Has any of the transfers who got admitted into the program receive an email from CSULB on their admissions to the actual university itself (not SON)? I was researching on the website and they said transfers who have been admitted to the school must submit documents 30 days after they have been admitted. I never got an email, but I checked my admittance on the Applicant Self Service, which said I was admitted. What are these documents we need to send because they aren't on MyCSULB either.

I am a transfer too and I thought we had to send CSULB a set of our transcripts and the SON a set of transcripts as well. I think CSULB sent me an email after my application had been processed to do so. Also, I believe it says to send a set of transcripts to the school and SON in the Nursing FAQ section.

Thanks @glencoco I found the documents on MyCSULB. I had to click Student Services Center and then look at my to do list. For me, it tells me to send my AP scores and official college transcripts by April 21. I just activated my account

I'm an alternate and haven't received my letter in the mail yet telling me what to do next.. has anyone received a letter (accepted or alternate)

Sarah- This morning I was emailed the official acceptance letter from admissions. Those wishing to move forward are now required to submit transcripts within 30 days, but the last day to accept or decline admission isn't until June 1st. You may have some waiting to do. Good luck!

Oh ya that's a wait for sure! Thank you!! Congrats!!

@luvjacqueline I tried to log into MyCSULB but it said my Campus ID was invalid. Did you get an email saying to activate MyCSULB?

@kailee Did they mention the date of the orientation in June? I'm just wondering because I'm an alternate but I'm trying to go somewhere in June, but don't want to potentially miss the orientation date.
