Hi!
I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!
Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?
Lucy, Happy to hear you were able to schedule an interview. BTW you are soooo lucky to still live at home. The last thing you want to worry about while in the program is how to pay your rent. My appt is also at 3pm, so see you there.
pay rent? will you be working while in the program too? I still live at home and pay rent! its nutso
Marina, I will choose a basic program if I can get in because English is the second language for me. Though I took all GEs, I can easily imagine that I will definitely struggle if I chose a trimester
But what is the difference between basic and trimester?
Numbers of the semesters are the same: 6 semesters.
By the way, I am practicing self introduction. As I am eager to get in the program, I would like to well prepare.
@Victor 3397 Thanks! If you're the only guy there i'll be able to pick you out.
About the living at home thing, when i do get into a program (be it fall or spring) i actually do plan to move out. My house is quite crowded and my family quite loud, not a stimulating environment for a nursing student.
You graduate from the trimester program in 2 years because you go to school during fall, spring, AND summer! Crazy, right?! The basic program takes three years because you have summers off. Truthfully, I am still on the fence about what I want to do haha! Miss indecisive over here.. But I think that there will be AMAZING classmates in both programs so at least there's that :)
Well besides the year and cost differences between the semester and trimester program, you do clinicals only at LBMH for the trimester program and a vast array of hospitals for the semester program. Taking your clinicals at one hospital is very convenient. However, going to multiple hospitals will allow you to visit more places and form more connections. It just depends on the person and his/her situation to which program is more suited for him/her.

Capstones are upper level GEs. There are a vast array of classes you can take to satisfy the requirement. You only need 3 capstones for a total of 9 units. There are many VERY EASY capstones. They definitely shouldn't be classes to worry or stress about.
