Hi!
I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!
Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?
I think the trimester program is probably easier for people who have experience with the quarter system or have at least taken summer courses. If you plan on doing trimester, ten definitely get as many classes out of the way as you can, like pharm, nutrition, psych, and soc. The trimester program is going to be difficult regardless, but you can at least try to lighten your course load as much as possible. It's those darn capstones that are going to get me though.. I hope they aren't too difficult or time consuming. I hate when GE classes take a significant amount of your study time away from courses that you should be focusing on >
So it wasn't a mistake, I got an interview! @3pm because it was the only spot available. I know my chances are slim, but i'm still very excited, even moreso because of what DarkBluePhoenix said (i think, it mightve been someone else, sorry) about MSN ppl choosing other programs because they will be getting a higher degree. If not, it just means i won't have to interview next semester.
Apparently I wasn't the only one, ----- said that they opened up 'a few more' interview spots.
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS CONGRATS Lucy!
Too bad I wont see you! I got my other job as a tutor at that time, but good luck! I bet you will do awesome!
Wow they did open up more spots!?!? I hope that is GREAT news for everyone!
And yes, I was the one who mentioned that. I mean most, if not all EL-MSN programs and ABSN programs start in the fall and I am pretty sure second bachelors people would be willing to either get a higher degree in less time or their BSN in a year rather than 2-3 years. So if that opens up spots, you always have people who apply from far like SF and SD and if they get into closer BSN programs to them, they will most likely go to those programs like SFSU or SDSU. Ya know? Well that is my wacky logic!
Grats Lucy!! Capstone classes are annoying, I'm glad I'm finishing my last one this semester. I can recommend some easy ones to you guys if you get in. I also think the trimester program would be a better option for those who are used to heavy work loads and especially those who aren't working.. I think if you're a student (like me) who isn't working throughout this process that you wouldn't want to waste time in the summer and just study study study to get it done. I have a lot of time on my hands so I think it'd be the smarter choice.
Maybe I'm wrong. Well just be yourself, wear nice slacks and a nice blouse and some nice shoes. Keep makeup neutral. Hair should be professional. Its pretty simple. You haven't ever had a job interview yet? Its ok, at least this will kinda give you experience.
It sounds lame to say, but i've never had a job interview. I had a steady babysitting job since highschool up until a year ago, plus generous pell grants for school once i started college. I still live at home and my mom refuses to let me help with rent, so getting a job while in school never seeed like something i needed to do.

Mari: Yesssss Pray (whether you believe in anything) that we all get in!!!! I am gonna pray!
Dream: Wow you commute from Pasadena to LB? 2 hours?!?! Do you have classes in the morning? Or do you work? Hey if we can get in together, maybe we can carpool! I am from Glendora, not that close to Pasadena, but normally no one has ever heard of my city or the ones around me so I just say Pasadena. Lol.
That is exactly why I am doing the basic, if I get in. Trimester, good but since I have a long commute and work, that is pretty much out for me.
