Published

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters! :eek:

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

@ DarkBluePhoenix- As long as you finished retaking those classes before Fall 2011, they will count the second classes you took when calculating your score.

Anybody receive interview invitations yet? FYI, interviews will be held on Wednesday, March 14 at various times during the day. Good Luck everyone!

I haven't heard anything... Have you? I know theyre suppose to be sending out emails this week,! Good luck too!

I have not heard anything yet either. How do you know they will send out emails this week?

I may be getting a little ahead of myself here but...if invited, what kind of clothing are you guys planning to wear? Does it even matter? Would it be okay to show up in normal everyday school clothes?

I know because I work at csulb where one of the staff is actually involved in the interview process. And I went through this whole waiting thing last semester when I didn't get in. They tell people who get an interview like 3 weeks after the application deadline and then the people who don't get in usually get a letter like 2 months later saying u didn't get in.

It's business casual

I'm a 1st trimester student, so let me know if you have any questions... You should dress as you would for any professional interview... This is your first impression! Good luck everyone!

This would work out nicely, as it is a flex day at my school and i wouldn't have to miss class.

@Beachsidenic

I've read past threads, but they are never exactly clear on what actually goes on during the interview. Will they be testing our knowledge (on anat. physio, etc.), or just communication skills? Also, how long is it? How many people interview with you? Anything you can remember will be very helpful!

For fairness sake, we are asked not to give away too much about the interview content. What I can tell you is that you will be separated into smaller groups and given a writing exercise and a group exercise. There's nothing to prepare, just be yourself, dress nicely, and participate, and you will be fine.

Will these invitations be sent out via email? And as for the hundreds-or-so alternates, do they get invited to the interviews as well?
