Hi all! I wanted to start a thread for folks who are applying to CSULB starting Fall 2018. I would love to hear other applicants!

Nothing so far :( If the communication excersie is really this upcoming Wednesday, they're giving a pretty short notice

The communication exercise isn't until the 21st of this month. And no, I haven't heard anything back from them either.

So changing subjects to the actual comm exercise - does anyone know what it actually is?

and I've heard that all the spots have already been determined, and if you are asked to participate in the exercise - you're most likely in.

has anyone heard anything else, or know if that is true?

From what I've heard the communication exercise involves watching a process in a video and then pairing up with each other and describing the video step by step. So they look to see how well you can communicate/give instructions.

and from what I've gathered from past threads, since it's pass or fail, you pretty much have to mess up horribly to not get into the program.

This is pretty much what my counselor told me as well! I think they invite the top 100 applicants to the interview but only have 80 spots available in the program.
