Csula nursing program fall 2009

oh okay so i got some new news. Today i went to the nursing office because i actually attend csula. The reason i went is because most of my friends have been recieving rejection letters and i havent received anything. So i went and unfortunately they are still reviewing my application. I asked the lady if its true that all fall applicants have been chosen because there was a certain deadline she told me no we are still choosing applicants for fall so there still some hope for those that havent received anything! I hope i hear some good news soon because i heard some bad news today and got rejected from la county ! Hopefully great news will come soon!:)

Got the letter from CSULA the first week of May while I was out of the country for vacation.

My prereq GPA was a 4.0, overall GPA was a 3.932;

TEAS- Reading I scored 87 percentile rank, English I only scored 58 percentile rank (I'm an international student).

For other schools I applied...

Rejected by Cerritos, Citrus and LA county; accepted by Rio Hondo (not lottery), and still waiting for the result from PCC.

Oh man.....all this news brings me up then down. I need a break from all this stressing and waiting. I'm just gonna let it happen and enjoy my time off! If we get in ..... Good. If not.....we will keep trying.

Patore, why did your friends get rejected? I emailed this lady who said she has the list for people being accepted for the fall 09 and she told me I wasnt accepted for the fall. I was also told that my application was still being reviewed. I hope that's a good thing that they still have our applications. Atleast we haven't been rejected yet!!! If you don't get accepted for the fall, do you have a school to go to for the fall?

hey talie well one of my friends had really high gpa and prereq score like 3.7-3.9 but got rejected because of her science teas score which was too low she scored a 40 percentile rank in science. As for my other friend she got rejected on tuesday because her overall gpa was not competetive enough for the program compared to the other applicants and her gpa was a 3.3.

Who did you email to get this information can i do that also? Because when i went today they just told me you are still being reviewed i was oh ok!

Well if i dont get accepted to the ones i have left pasadena or pierce or csula then i have a for sure acceptance for fall 2009 at cerritos so i would be going there even though it 20 miles away:(, if that is the case i will probably go there my first semseter and transfer out my second semester to another nursing program close to my house if i get accepted for the spring for nursing transfer students i would just finsih were i left off/

BUt whatever happens is mean to be, im trying to stay optimistic and hopefully i will get accepted to where im supposed to be.

omg don't scare me! my overall gpa is like your friends....or lower (3.2)!!! was that the only reason why they rejected her?

Hi patore, I'm going to csula and I will probably attend Rio Hondo's summer school too which starts 6/8. I already refused the offer of PCC's dental hygiene program, hopefully nursing turn out to be the right decision.

omg ! ok talie so i did what you said and emailed and got some positive feedback! They are waiting on two people responses and if one of them denies csula then im next to get accepted to the fall, but if not im for sure accepted into spring :). Im crossing my fingers and hoping i can start in the fall i will know by wednesday and she said spring acceptance letters go out next week! I cried thats how happpy i was! hopefully you get accepted too!

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!!!! How exciting!!!!! I feel like asking about my application now to know where I am. We have like the same points!!! OMG CONGRATULATIONS!! Hopefully I get in too!!! OMG I'm so happy!!!
