Hello. I wanted to create this forum for people who are applying to Cal State Los Angeles for Fall 2020. This is a place where we can discuss and compare statistics between us, as well as ask questions regarding the program. Thank you and good luck to you all!

Curious why they want the transcripts by 4/14 if we are supposed to finish the 60 credits by the end of Spring semester which is like June for me...

I emailed the SON and they responded saying they re-reviewed my application and I should be receiving a new letter in the next couple of days. My portal now says admitted and to send my transcript in the To Do’s. I was so depressed for the last couple days so it’s hard for me to be happy now! LOL

OMG that’s amazing! Your body went into depressed mode it’s gonna take some time till you believe you’re in LOL.

did you send this as an appeal or did you just email asking if there was an error?

CONGRATS! Do you mind sharing the SON’s name? I maybe reaching out also to ensure my app was reviewed correctly.

I did not appeal I just emailed the SON. Thank you so much! I won’t fully be happy til I get the official email. But I guess I can celebrate since my portal says admitted and to send transcripts !

It's probably to verify the stuff you inputted on Nursingcas. Don't worry, as long as you'll be complete by the end of the Spring semester, you should be good. So happy for you!!

I got the letter!! It’s official! I’m admitted, yay! What an emotional roller coaster the past couple of days have been... who is going to accept the offer? I’m still waiting on Long Beach but if I’m denied there I will definitely be going to LA. Just glad I’m going to nursing school no matter what ?

Only if I don't get admitted to CSUCI. My heart is with LA, but I have to be smart about my decision because it's a 30 min drive vs an hour and 30 mins. Same goes for Long beach, it'll be cool if I get admitted, but if I don't, it's comforting to know that I got in somewhere.

Of course! And Channel Islands is a great school like you mentioned before, so I hope you get in there. Is Channel Islands a 3 year program like LA is? I wanted to do LA because of the fact that it is much closer to me, and the clinicals are also closer to me.... but Long Beach has a quicker program and I would be done in 21 months or 28 months depending on trimester or semester. Either way it is faster than CSULA LOL. So that’s my logic

Yep, it's a 3 year program as well. Long beach does have the benefit that it's a shorter program, but man, driving basically 2hrs one way (without traffic) would get to me, and possibly cost me a lot more in the end. Thank you! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for CI, but not holding my breath ?
