Csula Fall 2014 applicants..

Published

I posted this in the California forum, but I think it got lost so I'm posting it here!

Who here is applying for the CSULA nursing program for Fall 2014? What are your stats? Have you taken the TEAS exam yet? I'm excited!

I have not taken the TEAS yet, but have my date scheduled for Oct. 25th.

The forum has been pretty quiet lately. I have been checking this site often. Still no news i see lol.

@righteousjenn: I've lurked this forum out of sheer curiosity and saw that you attend SMC... correct? I might have some good news for you.

13 more days!!!!

So, if we haven't gotten any mail from them till the Second Week of April, does that mean we are either on the waitlist or rejected?

What is the good news?

I believe they send the first wave of acceptance letters the first week and the second wave the following week. If you have 22 points and above you should be receiving good news :)

What about 21 pts?? Do you know how many people applied this year?

They had over 400 applicants. You should be fine with 21 points. You'd be surprised how many people are going to reject their acceptance

I think csula is a lot of people's third or fourth choice this year

When I thought about applying to the program, I had an appointment with one of the nursing counselors last Spring and I asked her about the Philosophy 7 course. I told her that I wasn't sure if I was going to qualify to apply because I was unable to add the class or be placed on the waitlist. She looked at my transcript and the articulation chart and said that English 2 fulfilled the "Critical Thinking" requirement since it fulfills CSU area A3 :)

I noticed that you said that you got a B. Perhaps your GPA might be boosted if you got an A in English 2 (Don't know if you have taken it), thus, increasing your points.

Don't quote me on this. I suggest that you talk to one of the counselors to make sure that English 2 does fulfill this requirement. I am simply sharing with you the information I was given.

I also think it might be a little late to ask now since letters will be sent out soon... If they take it, I will now have 22 pts!!!!!
