CSUF EL-MSN 2011

Published

Hi!

I'm about to turn in my application for Cal State Fullerton's EL-MSN 2011 program in person tomorrow (I know...what a procrastinator!). I'm just wondering, are there any CSUF applicants out there? If you turned your application in already, have you heard from the school yet?

Thank you! I gotta get that hammered out then. Hoping it will not greatly affect our admissions.

And making it 500 words or less is definitely not easy! I finally got my down to the minimum but I feel like I had to leave a lot of stuff out.

My interview is also April 15th, so I will see you there!

Has anyone gone through interviews yet? Just curious as to how many groups and days they are interviewing. I wish you all the best as you prepare and interview!

Hello everyone! I'm planning to apply to csuf next year and would really like for you to post what the interview process is like once those happen. Has anyone interviewed before? On another note, is it mandatory to have volunteer hours? I know the app is based on points and it will help but just wondering if it's required? Thanks! Good luck to you all!

BA GPA: 3.4

Pre-req science GPA: 3.5

TEAS: 87%

Volunteer w/ direct patient care: 300 hours

Hope that helps!

Psych to nurse is your pre-req GPA calculated only using your sciences? Or does that include statistics, English, speech, psych etc? I'm trying to calculate mine on my own. Thanks! Good job getting interviews at both schools!

Hey! Volunteer hours are not required but are awarded points if you have them. Depending on what your scores are in other categories you may want to get these extra points. If you've never worked in a medical setting it can be a great way to get an idea of what goes on.

I wish you the best!

Hi! I was wondering if anyone is familiar with the campus to suggest the best parking lot to use for the interview tomorrow. The interview will be in Education Classroom building. I have a map of the campus but first hand knowledge is always better.

Hey ames3! Great post!

I typically park in the spots where you pay per space (in the structure closest to the freeway) but I believe there is a 2 limit which more thank likely will not work for us. Let me know if you find out any thing :)

ahhh I can't believe the interview is tomorrow!

thanks princesspea! Looking at the campus map the closest parking structure is E and EPS, which are probably the same ones you mention since they are closest to the freeway. I would definitely look to buy a pass for the whole day just so I don't have to stress about coming back to a parking ticket.

I'm nervous about the interview tomorrow. What can they possibly ask us for 2 hours? I wished I could have attended one of the info session. Although I don't know if that would have helped any. Well whatever happens....happens.

2 hours seems like a good deal to me. I had another interview that was 4 hours a few weeks ago! They can definitely come up with questions to fill your time lol.

I hope everyone felt great about today! Glad to get the interview completed :)

Now for some more waiting ;)

I was told we would know around mid May.
