CSUF ABSN Fall 2021

Hi all! 
I just wanted to create this forum for students who are applying to CSUF Fall 2021 for the ABSN program in case we had questions for each other, wanted to share thoughts, stats and to support each other through this journey. 
 

Hi everyone I'm new to this forum. I've also applied to the ABSN program but I've been placed on the alternate list. I was wondering for those who were offered admission when's the deadline to accept/decline your offer?

To confirm our offer, we have to complete a background check and the deadline for that is Thursday, April 29th!

Hello, I am here because I was put on the alternate list too! I got into Concordia University Irvine, but Fullerton is cheaper ? I doubt anyone will decline but please keep me posted if you do !

I’ve been working two jobs as a phlebotomist and a patient navigator. I’m hoping to save as much cash as possible so I can quit when the program starts. If anything I would work part like 15-20 hours per week.

If you submitted your background check the first or second day after receiving the email, you may have received your results from CastleBranch!

By the way, I had emailed ------------------------ to ask when we'd need our physical exam/vaccinations done and she indicated that we will know specifics about that after background checks are done--but it'll be by Summer. Everything is moving in stages ?

Thanks for asking! ? I feel like I’m ready to submit everything and get ready for the semester. I know it’s going to come on fast! Haha

No, I asked and -------------------------- said they would bulk review the completed bg checks. Sounds like early/mid next week we should hear something more.

For fellow or future prospective applicants, ---------------------- shared that they received 800 applications, sent out 200 interviews, and accepted 40 students. I wasn't able to get any feedbacks regarding my application performance. ABSN programs are getting competitive. I'm going to be looking out of state for ABSN programs now. Congratulations to those that were accepted! To those that didn't get in, let's keep trying! Wish everyone the best!
